“It was great,” Graham said of Notre Dame. “It was different. It was a true college town and I like the coaches and I like the environment. It’s rich in tradition and it’s something different than what we’re used to on the West Coast.

“They don’t basically live the same way. When you go to Notre Dame, you’re going to college, you’re not worried about everything else, you’re focusing on you just to get better. You have less people and you’re going to learn, play football and then you go home on your breaks. That’s all and you don’t expect anything different.”

“It’s tempting because I like things different,” Graham said. “I don’t want to do the same things in college that I did in high school. I want to do something different. That’s why Notre Dame is high on my board.”
“(Kelly) said basically the difference between USC and Notre Dame is they need my help immediately and more at corner,” Graham said.

“He showed me the graduation rates and they graduate all their players in 3 ½ years no matter if you come in early or not. He said the difference between them and everybody else is they don’t redshirt players and they don’t have a lot of seniors.

“He said I’d be playing with dudes in my own class and my own age. I wouldn’t be playing with anybody that’s extremely older than me or someone who’s been in the system so long they have an edge on me. They’ve been in the system a year or 1 ½ years before me.”

It's encouraging that he likes to try different things and doesn't want the herd mentality. His take is a little different then most.

I would love to see this kid come to ND, I think distance might be a factor but Thomas also said it will be a factor.

waiting on Loy's CB

Told ya SC was too close. UCLA makes more sense... 15 miles farther away

I was just pointing out what the kid said so why laugh at me? People now think UCLA leads so distance could be a factor like he said.

it was just funny how he decommited from a local school hours after your post but if he's really favoring UCLA now then distance obviously is a factor

Distance was a factor early in Javon McKinley's recruitment. Family was worried and multiple visits helped ease that worry. It'll be interesting to see if he makes it back out to South Bend on his own dime and then finishing it up with an official.

Per Loy

Grahams father is extremely high on ND and he thinks it's a close battle with UCLA. Doesn't believe he will end up at USC. I would read the USC board but I am blacklisted from there

Graham talked with Lyght tonight

LOLLLLLLLLL

Biggest douche bag in America Scott Schrader who I won't make fun of him but he is honestly off his rocker and I know most of you know what he went through recently and I just think it's made him crazy.

Said basically USC stopped recruiting him and contact has been spotty. Basically USC didn't want him anymore and are on to bigger and better things. That guy will spin any USC decommitment however he chooses. God I fucking hate that rat cheesing bastard

Also his dad posts on the USC 24 7 board and said this a couple months ago

Since he is my kid I will add to Convo. It doesn't matter who is coaching Thomas Graham is and will always be 100% Usc. Even if his sister want coming here he was. He is also going to Championship game with me and his mom and Dad. His mentor is Chris Hawkins so we will always be good in that aspect.

No mention of Notre Dame outside of being in the list of schools he talks to the most. Article would lead me to believe his relationships with UCLA and ASU will be tough to overcome.

Looks like we made some headway in a short period of time.

Hope so but we have a long way to go. Would love to get this kid.

I can tell you that I have seen a few westcoast analysts lately put in tweets about how much Graham likes the Irish. I get the same vibe from these guys that I got with McKinley. We'll see.
