And Kofi just started 2 years ago. That's pretty nice
That is probably the reason they were available in the first place, and the only reason!

So the general consensus is that Jeremiah Owusu is a better prospect than this guy? I watched the films and that's not what I saw at all.

Correct me if I have you confused with someone else but aren't you the poster that self-posted that you didn't know how to watch film?
My signature tho...
Officially measured in at 6-0.75 and 220 lbs. New LB size with FS upbringing.
Asked this in the Fall Camp thread:
Where does he fit in?
Seems like an ideal Rover, and is bigger than JOK.
Can he maintain the weight AND athleticism and play safety? Or does he battle JOK for rights to keep the redshirt off and compete with Bilal for Rover minutes behind Tranquill?

Better than having a spicy one!
Hey oh!
Gilman will be eligible next fall and could start alongside freshman Jordan Genmark Heath. Incoming freshman Derrik Allen could also play a part in a revamp at the back.
I think he’s a little bigger than Coleman huh?
Had a really nice game today. 5 tackles splitting time at Stud.
Looks huge compared to Elliott. Had one really nice play on Guice where he sniffed out the play, weaved through traffic and stopped him near the LOS.
I know we're all stoked to have Derrik Allen coming in but JGH is going to play a lot of Stud next year and a lot of football for ND at some position for ND over the next 3 years. Could end up a LB, 6-1/222 right now.
Yep. But can he cover?
He could in HS. Actually played FS. Had 4 Int's as a Sr. I don't expect him to be as good as Derrik Allen but I expect him to be a major upgrade over Elliott and Studstill.

It moved.JGH, JOK, Allen, Gilman and Griffith (and all the other players who haven't logged serious minutes/stepped foot on campus) give this team a big jump in options. I can't wait to see what Elko can do when as the roster becomes more tailored for his ideal scheme.
I hope this guy finds a spot and grabs it. I liked what I saw in his HS film, I liked what I saw from him this year when he got the snaps and I love how this sounds. Spidey senses detecting a captain vibe. Still can't believe they landed JGH, JOK, MTA on D at the end last cycle.
