I think the confidence in the D came from the fact that they knew what they had at S this year, versus years past. Alohi is a badass
Dude is gonna be older than Weinke when he runs out out eligibility.
Alohi is playing like he did at Kahuku HS: ball hawk and thumper.
FYI, his younger bro is playing for Punahou where the OC is... Robby Toma.
His younger brother going to get D1 looks?

Already has ASU/HI offers
Pete Sampson reported today that the only reason Gilman wasn't granted a waiver was because Coach Ken N at Navy wouldn’t write a letter to the NCAA. Very good article. Sounds like he went through some hell in prep school in Rhode Island just to get to Navy.

FTFY?
Game ball, helmet sticker from ESPN College Football Final, and now this. Glad to see him getting the respect!
That INT where he takes it away and runs it back was exceptional on so many levels.
Exceptional play is right. Having both him and Elliot making plays on the ball was great to see
Elliot hard jumping that route was awesome. I was down on him a bit early in the year but he's coming on strong.
While I hate the thought of losing Love, the thought of keeping the other three intact (assuming they stay) is pretty awesome. Love the depth we're building. Haven't felt this solid about the DBs in a long time.
Lucky who do you think fills the gap when Love leaves. Vaughn, or do you see Boykin or even one of the newbies make a play.
Looks like Bracy is the leader in the clubhouse. He’s getting regular game work already. That’d be my early guess. But I also think it’ll be a situation where multiple guys get snaps based on opponent, gameplan, etc.
Alohi Gillman is one of the many stars on the Notre Dame team that give us a good chance to beat Bama. I believe !
Alohi is an absolute stud. I love this kid. His play Saturday was the highlight of what has been an outstanding season for him so far.
His second interception was a thing of beauty; 3rd and long and it looked like a huge play to swing momentum until he separated the ball from the receiver and made the pick. And his instincts returning the ball on both picks were phenomenal.
Congrats on a HUGE week and the accolades, as well as a very fine season so far.
I posted this Saturday in the gameday thread, but figured worth mentioning here.
Alohi is 100% captain next year, right?
I mean, this is surefire.
