They're kids and kids do stupid stuff all the time. A lot of it makes no sense to us at all, because we're looking at this from a different perspective. Ours is a more mature perspective that comes with age.

It's good you had a father present. Do we know the same is true for Kevin? Do we know what kind of family life he's had? I don't think he'll be on the team any longer but I do feel bad for him.

...have always loved Autry. Autry bring the heat! Just wondering, were their any clues/signs during his recruitment that this kid had a tendency to go off the rails? It seems like ND goes the extra mile to find RKG's (which at times frustrates the crap out of me...but then things like this happen and I come back around).

Yet one took a little different path. Never in any serious trouble, but I had to intervene several times before it finally got through to him that life is actually easier if you don't take shortcuts.

I'm not condoning what he did or think he should get another chance at ND. There are plenty of mature kids out there and there are plenty of immature kids. We all don't mature at the same time. Stepherson may not get there until he's 30. Who knows?

Well said. I am still rooting for the young man. If he commits domestic violence, or a more serious offense, then I would throw his ass off the team, but this could still be a learning opportunity.

Dude, he got caught speeding without a lisence, probably on probation, with pot in the car which he just got off a suspension for. He then goes out the next day and shoplifts even though he knows he’s in deep shit anyways over what occurred the previous day.

This on top of he was one of the guys in the car when Redfield got booted.

He isn’t going to be coming back. The kid has some character problems and hope he can rebuild it elsewhere.

if he leaves he would go to Div. II. he'll declare for the draft after next season, why go to a Div. I school and have to sit out all next season and still be required to go to school.

Unless the store drops the charges (maybe too late for that?) then maybe he can come back. If that's the case, I bet he is looking at another multi-game suspension for the pot. I'd say less than a 10% chance he returns. If you read between the lines in the interview below, BK is basically admitting he's done on the football team but will not be expelled from the university.
