This Bears GM is on fire. Well, Claypool at least made some bank in Canadian dollars.

3-1 team with Tua at QB and one of the more progressive head coaches you're going to find.

If you're making excuses for Chase Claypool, you might be running out of rope.

I think that's as close to getting nothing for him as you can get.

I'm actually surprised that they got anything for him. I was resigned to the fact that he would be waived.
when you consider that Miamis pick will be close to the end of the 6th... and Chicago's will be at the beginning of the 7th, it basically is nothing.

What's more humiliating? A waitress getting no tip, or getting a penny? I feel it's the latter, and that's what the Bears did to Claypool. Can't say he didn't earn it. Whatever is going on with him, I hope he gets it together.

I really wish the Colts would’ve offered a 6th for him. I feel like if anyone could empathize and get through to him it’s Reggie Wayne.

He's much better than Braxton Berrios who is their #3 and averaging 4 catches a game. I bet Claypool puts up numbers the second half of the year.
I wonder if they work Waddle more out of the slot and if Claypool can earn that other spot outside. He has a ton of TD potential with so much attention being paid to Tyreek Hill.

Part of me wonders if Claypool was so miserable losing in Chicago that he played his way out despite being in the final year of his contract. Risked his entire career in the process.

A rational person would've busted their ass to get the best possible opportunity in free agency. Frankly, I'm not certain that Claypool is rational.

Claypool knows how to get off shitty teams. He’s about to explode in Miami.

I’d start being a punk too to get out of Chicago. Dumpster fire franchise. Claypool is a smart guy.

Claypool being accountable for himself and the Bears organization being accountable for their own failures are two entities unto themselves. The GM who brought him to Chicago is the latest guy trying to fix the mess, and it was pretty clear they were tanking last year for the first pick.

DJ Moore hasn't looked miserable and he's a year older than Claypool. He balled out last night and just said fuck it. Zero reason Claypool can't do the same.

Hope he turns things around. This is probably his last chance.

During a contract year and he decided to amp up almost every negative view about him there is.

Go ask Kap or AB how that worked out for them.

Dude couldn't even put in the work to get a bigger bag.

Put me in the camp of Claypool thriving.

It really is now or never because no more excuses can be made. He's on a winning team with a lot of playmakers and he can be an absolute weapon down there. I'm rooting for him to turn it around.

I'd rather he be remember for his play on the field rather than what he wore to the locker room.

Immediately put in the Fantasy waiver. McDaniel is laid back enough to handle his annoying personality and will obviously be able to scheme him open a lot

He's one of our guys, so I want to be supportive --- but he HAD to be a "team cancer" didn't he, to get tossed out for nothing but the relief of not having him around? If I want to make something up out of pure imagination, maybe he had real problems with his coaches. Even then, it's team-team-team and you make every effort for that (at least that's what my Dad taught us sons.)

Dolphins are leading the league in both passing and rushing yards. They keep defenses honest and Tua likes to spread the ball around, unlike Jimmy G in NV...can't find either of his TEs for shit...Mayer needs traded. Point is, if Claypool can't get back to form in Miami, he's a lost cause.

I just watched a montage of Claypool just being a horrific blocker which I absolutely don't remember being the case at ND but maybe I'm misremembering.

I specifically remember Claypool for his punt coverage and his blocking. I know he had big catches, but that's not what jump out in my memory TBH
