I could be wrong but I believe Chase missed a tackle on a kickoff that lead to a 'Cuse big return in the 2nd half.

I remember seeing it and saying to myself, "well, at least he's a WR."

He and every other person on that kickoff return defense.

He's also the one that chased down and saved a TD on a punt return in the first half.

There's is no reason not to try him out on defense. Seems perfect for Diaco's CAT position, no? If they're going to be running more 3-4, why wouldn't you at least audition Chase in that role?

Bottom line, get this kid on the field more.

I'd put him at strong safety. He's about three times more athletic than Tranquill.

He may have missed one, but he's consistently been one of our best ST's tacklers and kick coverage guys.

I seriously dream about a big athlete that can cover space and still lay the wood.

Sadly, it won't happen.

If nothing else, this year should serve as a catapult for our secondary. All of the young guys have been racking up big time minutes.

He's been impressive on special teams all year.

He covers so much ground so fast and closes in on the ball carrier as fast or faster than anyone on the roster. He'll be good wherever but man it would be nice to see someone close in on a QB as quick as he closes in on a return man.

Strong safety. Put him with Studstill and your safety problems are solved for at least 2 years. Add in the young cats at CB and I think that could be a very good secondary for several years.

LOL. I will give you that Claypool is athletic but don't tell me just putting an athletic player at safety is going to translate to success. See Max Redfield.

Yes, it would.

Plus, the concern would be, converted offensive players don't like to hit. However, he seems to enjoy it. He's consistently flying all over the field trying to make the tackle. That doesn't say to me, he is afraid of contact.

I really want him to stay on offense and would enjoy watching him make plays.

But, as long as he sees the field I don't care where he ends up playing.

He would remind me of Jayron Kearse the second he moved to corner. For now he is Mohammed Sanu

Chase should take every snap for Boykin.

I feel for Boykins, can't catch a cold in games.

I don't care if Chase only knows how to run a few routes. He is a freak and catches the ball.

He should have scored on the catch he had though, but was playing to not make a mistake instead of playing to win.

He needs to learn to tuck the ball. He was carrying it one handed like a loaf of bread. Lucky it wasn't stripped. He does need to play more.

What are you talking about. He covered the ball with two hands like a fullback running through the line.

He needs to be on the field during offense more. He is very athletic and physical. And it will make the defense account for him even if it is a running play.

Actually it was with one hand, it was swatted at, he almost lost it, that's when he brought it in and protected it. He should've done so sooner considering the traffic he was in

4th and 10, last play of game. There's no fk'ing other play to run than Claypool posting up on somebody. Send everyone to the other corner and let him have a shot on the opposite side

I'm down with that.

Just remember Claypool running down the field, getting a hand and nearly catching the hail merry at the end of the half VS MSU.

How is there not some kind of throw to the endzone there? I am still baffled by this nonsense.
