Adams is going to start climbing up the top ten rushing seasons in Notre Dame history in the homestretch of the season.

1: 1,437 - Ferguson, 1979
2: 1,394 - Pinkett, 1983
3: 1,343 - Brooks, 1992
4: 1,268 - Jones, 2003
5: 1,268 - Denson, 1997
6: 1,267 - Walker, 2006
7: 1,196 - Walker, 2005
8: 1,192 - Ferguson, 1978
9: 1,179 - Denson, 1996
10: 1,176 - Denson, 1998

967 - Adams, 2017

At 138 ypg, Adams is on pace to finish with 1,795 yards. Thus blowing this record out of the water.

Has Koon finally admitted that Adams is a GREAT running back?

This makes me happy we might be watching one of the RB seasons ever at ND.

We are definitely watching something special. Last year he was just picking up steam at this point.

Seeing good ole #23 on this list three separate times gives me the feels... I absolutely loved Denson.

Looks like he'll crack the top ten on his first carry against Wake Forest. If he has a 100-yard game against Wake Forest he'll move all of the way up to #4. Given that he'll probably have that in a half, he may move up a spot with each carry against Wake Forest haha

Brian Kelly better have Navy circled for him to absolutely feed Adams and get him to 2000+ on the season and a trip to the Heisman ceremony.

No thank you. Get up 21 by half and sit him so those dirty seamen don't roll his ankle. Top 4 > Heisman to every player on that roster. Win out and stay healthy and he's in New York. Unfortunately, I would contend Barkley's crap game today is just an offset for Josh's against UGA. It's a 4 week race now.

What about his Indiana game? Or Northwestern.

He had a gimmick TD throw against Indiana because Franklin isn't dumb and knew that's a stat that the public and voters will gush over.

He had two touchdowns against Northwestern, but he was thoroughly MEH the whole game besides his one long run.

Hey, I'm on the 33truckin bandwagon all day, every day. He's just a workhorse, but unless you play in Tuscaloosa, that doesn't seem to go far with voters, IMO. Catching passes and returning kicks seems like a prerequisite for non-QB's. My logic is flawed and not well researched, but feels accurate. ;)

Nothing against you!

You're right. Everything is about flash. Barkley is awesome. A game changer, but he doesn't have as good of a line as Josh has (which, could be a negative for Josh really). He has a TON of negative rushing plays.

The problem is, the hype train of ESPN has been pumping Barkley up, and basically telling everyone he has just fantastic games every single game.

110%. Barkley has been gifted the trophy since late September. Adams just needs to be solid for the next 3, and then run inspired in Palo Alto with everything on the line. 11-1 and he has a shot. Only way from where I sit.
