I had drinks before and after the Pitt game last weekend with an Indiana football coach who is good friends with Coach Alford and who knows a lot of the coaches in Indiana, Michigan, OH, etc.

One of the first things he said, and this was before all the updates came out about how great Hilliard's visit went (and Christian from ISD was at the lunch with us; in his Intel he talked about how Hilliard's dad told him that the Alabama trip was cancelled because something happened. I thought Christian was holding back the truth, so I asked him what the real reason was, and Hilliard's dad didn't say, so I that sucked lol), was that he thinks that we get Hilliard. I don't think this was coming from Alford so much as it was from h.s. coaches, but he was pretty confident.

Probably means nothing, and it is REALLY early in the process, but it's slow and some positive news, even if it means nothing lol, is always nice.

That Star 69 is the most annoying poster on BGI. My god every thread is ripping the coaching staff for not using recruiting tactics that UM or OSU does, how ND is so behind the times blah blah blah. He thinks because he follows every twitter feed known to man that he is the ultimate expert in all things recruitiing.

He doesn't like me as I am one who always contradicts his posts. Guy is a tool.

Dude starts shit all the time complaining about the staff not recruiting hard enough or not talking to the right prospects enough. It's sad because mostly everyone over there hands on his every word.

I'm thinking about blasting him for this today. He literally makes that board horrific at times. He's convinced many he has a clue and the reality is he doesn't. He always talks about Michigan this and Michigan that but fails to mention that we have out recruited them two straight years and are putting a better product on the field. And yes last year we had a better product even though we lost. 9-4 vs 7-6

He literally said this shit today. ND needs to start trying to elite talent on campus every weekend like Michigan. They have two 5 stars and 1 4 star. Everybody goes what should we do star69. What nobody realizes is they don't do this every weekend, NOBODY does!

Last thing, because this is a free board it so much better because it gets regulated. I know some may not like it at times but it stops that shit from happening and believe me it's way worse, kudos IE! Done rant, and I haven't even had a beer yet

Just read some of the premium UM board and they were excited as they thought Rosen was staying all weekend and would hang out with Hilliard. Come to find out he just left tonight for a 7 on 7 tournament in Las Vegas. That deflated the board there.

Rosen is not leaving California so not sure why any school would get excited. He is UCLA's to lose.
