Not that familiar with Lisfrancs beyond knowing they're bad news (and torpedoed Jarron Jones' season in 2015). Is it a surgery-rehab-good-to-go sort of injury (like, say, a dislocated shoulder). Or are we talking about something that's likely to linger all season despite surgery?

Lisfranc injuries can be incredibly hard to come back from. There are some guys who come back eventually, and others that just never get back to what they were.

Oh no. What are you (we) gonna do about that? You gotta get that ish straight before BK's pressers.

Is there hope of Elijah Taylor coming back this year? Or is he basically redshirting and prepping for spring ball?

LisFranc injuries are usually ten month injuries so I would be surprised to see him play this year.

I expected a medical.

Hate to see a guy put in 5 semesters (plus summer work) and leave. Hopefully he gets a 6th year at his next stop.

Best of luck to him.

Is this what warranted the late offers to the d-linemen in Texas? Or has the staff known about this for a while now?

Either way, I'm not surprised or worried about the future of the interior d-line. The future looks real bright.

Sad to see this. Elijah was a good friend of mine and lived down the hall from me the past three years. Really awesome guy and has just had a terrible hand dealt to him. Wish him so much luck going forward, wherever he lands is getting a guy with tremendous character.

gonna be hard for any decent program to take a flyer on a guy coming off a lisfranc injury. he will probably end up at FCS level

He can come home to Cincy. Fickell will find some room on the chance that Taylor gets healthy finally.

95% sure he's graduating this summer after 3 years and will have 2 seasons of eligibility at EKU. Great move for the kid! Good luck!
