Why is Sampson using a question mark? Of course he's the next starting QB.

Can't wait to see this guy run next year. I just hope we have a defense that can let him rest.

Not sure about that. I'm very high in Ian Brooks. Well I'm very high in general right now lmao.

Seriously though Wimbush should start, but don't sleep on Brooks. I get a Drew Beese type feeling with him.

Any chance Avery Davis red shirts next year as a QB. Then during the spring moves to another position like safety?

Sherm ya you are really high on Brooks because you don't even know his name. So ya, you are high and you are high on a kid who doesn't even exist. What kind of weed you smoking patna

Brooks, Books whoever doesn't stand a chance. Wimbush and Aliz'e both going to have goofy years and have a lot to show next season. Tic fucking toc

It's Ian Book, no 's' at the end of his name.

Anyway, I like Wimbush a lot but I think he is a bit overrated in this forum. I get that he was highly rated but people have been clamoring for him for a while now when we have a future NFL QB at the helm. As of now Wimbush has been nothing more than a Ben Koyack flashing his potential on the sidelines. Again, I like him but he hasn't proved anything yet other than a half dozen runs in garbage time last year.

Wimbush, ESB, Alize, Dex and Josh next year could be lethal. All juniors, time for them to take over.

everyone agrees he's the most talented QB on this team and if he wasn't redshirting I think you would have saw him this year. The whole program is beyond high on him

We don't know if Wimbush is even good yet, I hope he is. If Kizer ends up coming back next year I would really feel bad for Wimbush then

I'm sure you're right, but I also remember when people said the same about Malik Zaire.

Man... not to mention a rising Stepherson

As for DK I would be completely shocked if he returns.

I would put it at 95% chance he leaves - based on a combination of:
-a good draft projection (pros will drool over him, right or not)
-personally I find it hard to imagine him wanting to play another year under BK.

In Zaire's defense he looked promising until the injury.

But could this be a situation like Texas AM a few years back where Tannehill goes to the NFL then Manziel comes in and blows the world away? Absolutely. But also absolutely unlikely. I think it's more likely that Wimbush has some first year growing pains. I'm sure he can thrill with his legs but let's wait and see how well he slings it.

BW also passed for about 75% his senior year almost setting the national record but didn't have enough attempts (hello accuracy). Won the state title and POY for NJ. Kizer is extremely talented (and ran hard at times) but I think BW is just a great overall teammate. That can have a tremendous impact and was so obviously lacking this year.

I like Deshone Kizer as a QB and he can be as good as he wants but it reminds me a little of Darron Thomas and Marcus Mariota. It's just time for a change. Deshone Kizer is 12-11 as a starting QB. It's time for something new

How are Darron Thomas and Marcus Mariota in the same catagory?

I think he means the succession at Oregon for "unproven" Mariota when people thought Thomas was crazy for going to NFL when truth was Oregon coaches thought guy behind him was better.

What was Kizer TD int ratio and pass completion rate this year? Not awesome and would be interested to compare it to Rees. Kizer also took a lot of sacks and many of the incompletions were just Schitty throws but some drops too. He missed a lot of open guys and got greedy with his decisions. He always looks composed since he is so big back there but mentally give me Rees. He isn't the Joe Schmidt of QBs!

That 12-11 is with a terrible defense. I wouldn't fight a change but the offense under Kizer has been generally pretty darn good. He lost games, with the offense doing extremely well.

Kizer 2016 - 26 TD/9 INT/28 sacks/58.7%
Kizer 2015 - 21 TD/10 INT/26 sacks/62.9%
Golson 2014 - 29 TD/14 INT/28 sacks/60.0%
Rees - 2013 - 27 TD/13 INT/8 sacks/54.1%

Kizer better with INT and comp%, Golson more TDs, but Rees with only 8 sacks in 2013. Maybe we would do better with DeTommyett Reezerson.

I never get excited about anything ND...because I'm miserable and jaded.....but I love the potential this kid brings.

Strong, fast, has a cannon. And he's great under pressure.

Only thing I'd mention about the film is that he has all day to throw. LOL. Anyone on his Oline get a scholly??

Honestly, it's pretty hard to get excited about QBs with Kelly still here. I'm sure the plan will be to have him chuck 40+ times a game and hope he doesn't have too many TOs. Then scream at him after every TO while giving Adams and Dexter 12 carries between them. Should be fun.

I enjoyed the last two offensive years with Kizer. I think the offense is fun and feel we can score on any drive. Same wasn't said about the Rees years or any team under Willingham.

I think BW is more talented and if he takes to coaching, can be the guy our kids or grandkids are named after..

Charlie's offenses were much more exciting.

And lately I haven't been feeling like we can score on every drive...maybe against Army.

I would say a big reason for Kizer and the sacks is that he tries to keep plays alive. The line can give him good pass protection but not for 5+ seconds. At some point Kizer needs to know when to throw it away or take off. (Frustrating as hell to watch)

Rees was never a threat to run - plus he was a pretty smart QB. If it wasn't there and he got pressure he would throw it out of bounds.
