Jayru Campbell commits to New Mexico Military Institute

It's a JUCO college in Roswell, NM. Roger Staubach played a year there before he joined the Naval Academy.

There was some talk in MI that he was gonna play for Siena Heights (D3) in the fall but it looks like he is headed to New Mexico which is probably a good thing where he can start over and get away from distractions

Remember this kid?
He never went to New Mexico instead he went to Garden City Community College in Kansas.
Pretty good CC that produced a bunch of D1 guys like Nick Marshall, Phil Loadholt, Corey Jenkins and Corey Dillon.

He started at QB and threw for 1229 yards, 10 TD's and 14 Int's and his squad finished with a 3-8 record

Sounds like he was a freshman dealing with a bump in the speed of the game.... Personally I don't like the kid and think the things he's done are character issues that he will never "grow out of". However, every kid deserves a chance.

Personally I am happy for the kid, he showed some maturity in switching to WR to help his team out after starting his 1st year at QB.

I'll keep an eye out on how he does at Ferris.
