Potential game changer. If only there were a flowchart that neatly explained whether we should start tweeting recruits like Cane fans...

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Should you tweet at recruits? Soften the POTENTIAL blow tomorrow already: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>If ND struggles to land a 2nd RB, Nick Coleman sure looks good in the backfield. There are worse 4th stringers, that's for sure.</p>— Keith Arnold (@KeithArnold) <a href="https://twitter.com/KeithArnold/status/562648932564484096">February 3, 2015</a></blockquote>

Robbing from Peter to pay Paul is not softening the blow IMO

This is an absolutely terrible idea, considering long term CB depth is just as bad as (if not worse) than RB and Carlisle/Prosise can play as an "emergency back" this year if everyone got hurt.

I just don't understand the dire need to have a fourth rb on the depth chart next year. In an emergency, Carlisle could somewhat easily slide back there.

I understand the concern about 2016 RB depth, but I can't believe we will lose both Folston and Bryant next year. Maybe Folston, but I even doubt that.

Additionally, as mentioned previously by others, RB is one of only a few positions where a true freshman can step in and be very effective. There are endless examples of this so I won't waste anyone's time listing them.

At worst, we bring back a fifth year that we will have otherwise let walk, and bring in a couple big time backs next year. The depth chart will be inviting, and if we have the type of season we all expect to have, convincing a couple immediate impact guys to join should be much easier than this year (see 2013 recruiting class).

For anyone with an ISD sub:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>The latest on FL RB Dexter Williams and <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/NotreDame?src=hash">#NotreDame</a> & <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Miami?src=hash">#Miami</a> (Premium) <a href="http://t.co/IqMYDM9Q84">http://t.co/IqMYDM9Q84</a></p>— Irish Sports Daily (@ISDUpdate) <a href="https://twitter.com/ISDUpdate/status/562655503948734464">February 3, 2015</a></blockquote>

I assume it's more of the same ("we still expect Williams to be Irish, etc.), but just in case...

Farley's going to end up playing two ways at RB and safety next year and win the Heisman.

Yup. Status quo. "Should" be ND despite late pressure from Miami.

What's the name of the Oregon commit at RB who loved ND but we didn't recruit him? Lol at us.

I don't know if it's a terrible idea, but I would certainly move Carlisle to RB before anyone else.

Coleman has pretty electric film at RB, but he just moves like the perfect CB.

I'd almost prefer not to see Procise get moved to RB cause I think he's too talented in the Slot. I honestly think he would push TF for time there, but he has too much potetential in the Slot. If we have the numbers to bring Carlisle back for a 5th year, he is he the no brainer IMO. We need 4 RBs on the depth chart. Last thing we need is an injury to TF or GB and suddenly Adams (good film, needs to bulk up) is our #2.

if dexter sticks with his commitment or not, Kelly is going to need Folston or a combo of Folston/Bryant to have a great year next year to start showing RBs what they need to see for ND to be attractive.

I had a dream last week that Dexter picked Miami. Dexter Williams to Miami confirmed. Btw, I really did dream that. Sad, eh?

Sampson tweeted out an article on Dexter about 20 minutes ago, and some guy replies to him on what his gut feeling is. Pete responds with "I'm not betting against Tony Alford."
