He's going to Palomar Juco in San Marcos or Vista, CA.

Hope he likes beer. Beer capital of the world.

Things may have changed, but it used to be Juco's typically only offered two year degrees. If that's still true he's not playing as a grad transfer. If true, he better light it up in that one year or he won't get much of a sniff from the NFL.

The community/junior college here in Vegas, College of Southern Nevada has a few Bachelors they offer. However they are in hospitality, IT and nursing I believe. Same JC Bryce Harper played baseball for, no football team though

IMO Barnett will never be a solid starter in CFB. He could've had a good career if he held solid to one school and played good ball when he got his shot. The way he went about things with ND made me angry. That being said, we got Wimbush instead. I'd take Wimbush over 2 Barnetts. And look what happened with Blake. He had a bad 2 series (approximately) with BAMA, Hurts came in and killed it, Blake immediately left. Like Miles said, no heart. I kinda get that Blake saw Hurts' play and thought "I'll never start here again." But it still makes him look gross characteristically. If he kills it at Oregon, NFL scouts will certainly look at him as a kid who if doesn't start as a rookie, will get together with his "poopie pants" dad and demand a trade. F Barnett.

Disagree. If ever there was a place where he could ball out and show off his skillset, it's OU. Smart move by him to go there should he choose to do so.

Somewhat of an interesting development, not as Oregon is a shocker of a chose but this is an interesting time to be going there. More than likely a coaching change is coming. I can't see Helfrich making it to next season, unless they get significantly better. However, if they do, it will most likely be because true Freshman QB Justin Herbert has been balling out. Neither one of those scenarios is extremely condusive for Barnett to step into. With that said, daddy Phil could throw a lot of money at this thing and make it all go away.

Maybe you're right. Maybe I'm wrong. We'll see. Respect brother

This is how I feel... Not sure he is going to beat out Herbert and with new system, doesn't seem ideal, if I'm him I go to a smaller school and just play

Going to Oregon is a risky proposition. From everything I read, there will be a coaching change, so BB has no idea what type of offense will be implemented. And as Lucky said, they already have a QB that appears to have things locked up for the foreseeable future. For those of you wondering, it doesn't appear that Chip Kelly will be returning to Oregon anytime soon even with the 49'ers struggles this year.

From being committed to one of best degrees in the country to one of the worst. May his professional career be long and profitable.

It will be amusing if he gets beat out by Brady White

I'm assuming BB picked ASU because Brady White is hurt worse than they originally thought. I've not heard anything definitive but he was not expected to be ready for Spring when he got hurt in early Oct.

Bad news for Barnett, his girlfriend went from an 8/9 when he got engaged to a 5 as soon as he steps on Mill Ave. #coldhardfact.

Report: Lane Kiffin was recruiting ex-‘Bama QB committed to Ariz. St.

Lane Kiffin was apparently putting in some work for FAU even before anyone really knew he was a candidate for the job.

While there’s been nothing official yet from the school, all signs and reports are pointing to the Alabama offensive coordinator being named as the head coach at Florida Atlantic at some point in the not-too-distant future — specifically, at an expected press conference as early as Tuesday morning. Last week, even before reports connecting Kiffin to FAU first surfaced, Kiffin was reportedly looking to add a quarterback with whom he’s very familiar.

Blake Barnett withdrew from Alabama in September with the intention of transferring. A little over two months later, the former five-star quarterback recruited by the Crimson Tide coordinator took the next step in the process, committing to Arizona State Dec. 6. According to al.com, though, Kiffin, through an intermediary, attempted to get Barnett to flip to FAU.

A coach expected to be part of Kiffin’s FAU staff reached out to Barnett last week and told him that they want Barnett to be their quarterback at FAU, a source told AL.com.

That said, and at least for now, Barnett plans to honor his pledge to the Sun Devils. Here’s to guessing, though, that Kiffin won’t give up his pursuit until Barnett puts his Herbie Hancock on his ASU paperwork.
