6'3 255 seems hugeeeeee for a LB prospect. Especially one who is 17 years old.

I stood next to and face to face with this kid. He is a specimen, yet doesn't look like he is out of the growing phase. He is simply huge. He looks much bigger in person than he did on film. Solid, with not a lot extra to spare, 230 you say? He looks bigger!

The biggest downer in his highlights is that it looks like his athleticism has not noticeably improved. His straight line speed certainly looks a bit sub par. Just don't know how high of a ceiling he is going to have.

The right kind of training can improve that some.

Looking big... his film is no Nyles Morgan, but he's more athletic than I thought he'd be. Could definitely be a SAM backer.

i see carlo calabrese better in pass coverage in that video

Way bigger than Carlo though. Carlo is listed at 6'1", Martini is at least 6'3" with a much larger frame. And when he has the ball in his hands, got to think he moves better in all directions than Carlo does. Or at least I hope lol.

He's about the same size as Luke Kuechly.

Really pleasantly surprised by that film. Quicker than I expected, hits hard and identifies the ball carrier in a hurry.

I bet Doug LOVES being behind Greer on the depth chart... not like it happened to him in HS or anything.

That is awesome. Good for Greer. He has looked great in the action he has seen so far - nothing like the unathletic, plodding underwhelming DE-to-be we should be expecting according to Mike Farrell and some others.

It's kind of fun, when you look back at Greer's high school highlights, on offense. He outruns everyone, and is extremely fluid and athletic.

That with the fact he is huge, a real large body!

I think a lot of "experts" pick their ball players like they pick their women. Doesn't matter what the potential, or the skills, or even if you can get along. Only matters how desired they are by others. Greer shut it down early. Didn't do the camp circuit to "showcase" his skills. So people made erroneous statements, yawned, and most everyone else bought it!

I just gotta say he's playing at an incredibly high level right now for a true freshman. I'm not sure what his ceiling is, but right now you have to think he gives us the best chance to win at MIKE. He's playing the position how it's supposed to be played... getting to the right places at the right time with virtually no hesitation or lost steps. Heck of a player considering he's trained at WILL all year not MIKE.

Next year, need to have Jaylon at SAM with Schmidt/Martini at MIKE/WILL.

And Redfield and Shumate at S? Wonder what that lineup would feel like??
