Popular opinion. Move love to Nickle corner. Crawford to corner. Play nickle most of the game.

Sorry but don't get the connection between Martini's injury and moving your corners.

I think it's the in-case-of-Morgan/Coney-get-injured move, instead of putting in Jamir Jones, move Tranquill to Buck and play Nickle

I get playing nickel just not moving Crawford from his nickel back position to corner and moving Love from corner to nickel. Seriously doubt ND has that in their plans.

you put crawford in at nickle in non long passing downs and he's gonna be targeted in the running game, he's 5'9 and like 180 lbs

Saw Greer 5 minutes ago with EQ in Green Bay so I’m pretty sure he’s getting at least a tryout with the Packers

I really hope he gets what he wants. Incredibly underrated player for us. Led us in tackles until the injury set in. Finest instincts we've had at LB for several years.

Agreed with everything you said until the last part. I don’t believe that at all and that’s not a knock on Greer

We each see with our own eyes, and I have respect for other views. But i used to play-watch every game in replay, to look at LB and OLine play, and Greer was quicker to read what was happening to my eye than Coney and Morgan by far, and going back a few years we had very few fast instinctive reactors since the Cincinnati Moeller LB who got injured just as he was about to take over for Manti --- forgot his name (apologies.) Jaylon and Coney made up for their split second delays with their tremendous speed, but Martini got started to the hole quicker. ... in my opinion.

.... but who really cares? I'm just trying to praise a fine warrior in his thread.

He was the first commit in his class. Stayed committed, became a captain, played very well. Hope he gets a shot in the NFL. Notre Dame man.

I was way wrong about Greer. I though his injury was going to be something too far to overcome. Glad to say I was wrong. Congrats Greer.

Apparently Greer Martini has been tearing it up in training camp up in Green Bay. Hope he makes the 53 and gets some time.

I'm heading to GB in October for MNF against SF. I'm going to hit every bar until I find a Greer Martini.

Going to Packers vs Lions on Oct 7. I think I'm going to make my own for tailgating. Maybe call them Irish Greer Martini's. Booze concoction TBD. Open to ideas and suggestions.

I'll be there as well. I make the annual trip to Ford Field for the cheese head takeover. I usually head to Sweetwater Tavern, get some of their dynamite wings, and then bar hop rather than tailgate.

Bet you have an interesting story about why you turned your backs on the Lions.

You can't come to Detroit and not get to sweetwater. Lucky enough to be able to have these every few weeks currently, but not ready for when i have to wait for special occasions to get them.

I have never been. Not the most familiar with the Detroit area being a West sider. I'll definitely have to stop in now!

Not super interesting. Was never a Lions fan, so can't necessarily say I turned my back. Basically, was a kid, played Madden 64, used the Lions because it was the only team I knew, and got my butt kicked by the Packers.

So, I started using them, and it stuck with me all throughout my childhood. Asked for a #4 jersey that Christmas and never looked back.
