Jesus. How does someone who liked ND that much not come to ND?

Yep.

Since he did say it was his 1st official, I guess he hasn't done this elsewhere. But zero chance he does all this and puts it on the interwebs if he isn't really, really, really considering ND. His tweets during the visit and reports after were all glowing.

Then he edits and produces this video.

But maybe he's into this type of thing though, and will do it for all his visits? I don't know.

Watching this video though, it's hard not to think this kid will be Irish.

Luatua who? I'm sorry but I wouldn't care if this kid was a 3 star from bumblefuck nowhere. I gained immediate respect and want this kid. I know everyone doesn't have the ability and means to do this but the fact he has the desire to do the video says enough.

WOW! That video was awesome! He said the same thing that I said (and I was just a schmuck who finally got to go to a game & tour the campus!)! There are NO words to describe ND! I would like to see this kid IRISH, if for no other reason than he seems to be a very good kid.

So… he made a video like this for his unofficial visit at Stanford (Standford v ND game, btw). That is the only other video he did for a visit. It is drastically different than this one. If you get excited by positive tweets by recruits than the video made on his visit to ND should blow your mind. I know it blew his.

Good Lord...This video made me miss Notre Dame so much...I remember the feeling walking through the tunnel for the interhall football championship for O'neill hall and just how magical it felt. The campus' beauty is beyond words and it is great to see a recruit see the same things I saw as a student and share the same feelings about it. I really hope that he ends up Irish, but after this video, I'll be cheering for this kid regardless of where he ends up. Seems like a real good kid.

Still bitter about that year man. That was the only year I didn't play in the championship in my 4 years. And I thought we had our best team that year, undefeated regular season and all. The next year we lost our qb and ilb to the varsity team.

ND has no journalism or communications major. They do have FTT (Film Television and Theatre) though.

And fwiw Loy doesn't see Schultz anywhere but Stanford. Awesome video.

I agree on everything everyone has said in that ND shocked the hell out of him.

But as far as comparing the videos....the Stanford was for an unofficial so those visits arent quite the red carpet treatment that ND threw at him so itll be interesting to see how he likes the red carpet at Stanford.

I think most people interested in journalism major in American Studies. There is some journalism-focused coursework in that major. FTT is the closest we have to communications, right.

And yeah, Loy posted that, despite the raves about the visit, he doesn't think we are really even close to overtaking Stanford.

Programs vary, but yes there's a lot of parallels between journalism and American Studies. Ask John Carlson. He was a 3.9 GPA in American Studies, and it was my minor in undergrad. Great stuff.

The only negatives with the video was no film of him in a ND Jersey, and no film of the Basilica. I thought that was odd.

But that is nothing compared to the context of the whole thing : HE GETS NOTRE DAME.

I will have to agree with this wholeheartedly. There is not another school that I respect more than Stanford that is consistently on our schedule. IF we have to lose, then Stanford I am ok with because I also know that those kids made a heck of an effort to be top notch students - much like our players getting into ND had to put forth some effort.
