EDIT: Nevermind misinterpreted.

Sounds like Kizer was out late Friday night and media just brought it up during the press conference.

Then what's the big deal? Some Browns sites are calling for a Hue or DK, one must go... according to this video BS... but it's never detailed wtf the video is showing. Anyway, fun times as always

Get DK out of there! It’d be the best thing for him.

Browns fans want blood. Also some PTSD from Johnny I suppose.

Apparently the Browns has a deal for McCarron finalized but forget to call it in.

They were literally celebrating their trade, and forgot to call it in because they were celebrating.

In the history of sports, the Browns stand alone.

Kizer is actually playing very very well so far in the 1st half against my Lions. He's been smart with the football by throwing it away and getting away from the rush. Nice moves in the pocket too. A couple bad throws on some fades but otherwise accurate. His team definitely will prolong his development though.

Just finished the game. I thought he was the only bright spot on an incredibly shitty team. The Browns are awwwwwwful. The line is mediocre. The receivers suck. The tight ends suck. The RB's suck. The defense sucks everywhere. Poor kid has no help.

That kid has insane amounts of raw physical talent. Almost perfect body type, athleticism, and arm strength for the position. He has no help around him. How many balls did his receivers drop? They couldn't even pick up 1st downs once he left the game with the injury and Cody Kesler came in.

Hue Jackson is a complete buffoon. The Browns organization is a mess. I rarely absolve players of blame, but if he doesn't wind up making it, it will 100% be because of the Browns. That kid has got the goods. Patriots should seriously consider making a trade to get him and let him sit for 2-3 years behind Brady. I think he could be a flat out stud with the right coaching. That is clearly not in Cleveland.

Kizer should've stayed another year. It wouldn't have help his draft stock much, but damn could we have used him this year!!!

Strongly disagree, his draft stock actually went down his last year...He could have used the extra year to rise it back up.

With our defense this year, he would have been winning a lotttt more games. AND he wouldn't have to carry the team offensively.

Kizer had a nice game, but I honestly think he was the one who called his own number on that QB sneak to end the first half. You could see some of the wideouts running routes, so I think it was meant to be a pass play. And then Duke Johnson was freaking out which I don't think he was freaking out at the play call, but rather Kizer's decision to sneak it. Yes, Hue Jackson sucks and is a laughable coach, but I don't think you can put that one on him. That play was, though, one of the most Brown's plays of all-time.

Indeed. If Kizer stayed we probably beat Georgia, anyway, if not Miami. He puts up good numbers in a balanced offense, maybe even a Heisman candidate as the face of a top ten team. His draft stock improves and he gets drafted #1 by the Browns instead of #52.

You're right though. The Patriots should absolutely go get him.

Hue called that play before in Cincy back in 2015 with Dalton; it worked and Hue wanted to try it again

You think? Idk, kinda seemed like Kizer called his own number with how the rest of the play developed, but that's just me. You could be right.

It was something I read from Bengals fans on reddit. It's not like Hue called a presser to announce it was him

He is having one hell of a time trying to adjust to playing in the NFL. I'm sure getting drafted by Cleveland isn't helping his progression as a QB. But it makes me think what another year of college ball would've done for him.

I kinda had a suspicion that the relationship with BK and Deshone had gone sour with the 4-8 season, which is why I thought he left early (because he definitely didn't have a good enough 2016 season to be a 1st round pick). But Deshone visited BK and the team more than once this season so I guess my theory was debunked.

Anyways, Deshone needs some help.

An extra year will/would help just about any player that's not a consensus top 5, and even some of them. The Browns are a kiss of death. I do believe he could have started somewhere else with a decent supporting cast and done much better. That said, the best situation for him would have been going somewhere where he could have rode the bench for a year or two and learned from a good, but aging QB. Shit happens. Hope it works out for him and gets a ticket out of Cleveland (unless Cleveland shocks the world and actually does a 180 with personnel and management).

How long are they gonna keep a HC employed that is staring a 0-16 record in the face and is 1-28 as a head coach? They fired Sashi Brown as if he was the guy coaching the players, calling the plays, and was the root of all problems. I understand that he is the one that is probably responsible for the AJ McCarron debacle. Hue Jackson is way more responsible for the 1-28 than Sashi Brown was.

While the Browns are not great at WR, I have never seen a pro QB throw dumber passes into coverage than Kizer. He literally lobs the ball into three defenders in not the end zone every single game. It’s not a Browns thing, it’s that Kizer makes stupid decisions over and over.

feel bad for any QB that goes to the browns

I remember thinking poorly of Eli when he basically told San Diego he wouldn’t sign there. QB success is so dependent on your situation that I wouldn’t blame any high draft pick QB for leveraging their situations. Cleveland is literally a death sentence for your career if you’re a QB.
