To be fair, ND was the only school in his Top 5 he didn't visit

Will we be seeing this from Allen in a couple years?

The question is...who is that blonde behind him on the left?.....hellllllooooo!

Ugh. I would love to see Manziel get stomped this year, but it's unlikely due to them only playing LSU and Bama and the rest of the teams on the schedule are the little sisters of the poor

Dude, they play in the SEC!... the NFC East doesn't play schedules that brutal...

Anyway, back to reality, rather than perceived reality... I am not saying ND will get back in, but this seems way knee jerk to me... I'd be fairly surprised if there isn't some drama here before signing day.

I don't think that's a small order there....but what do I know

Id have to agree on that one.

LSU and Bama are both excellent teams im just saying besides those two theyll glide through that schedule with no problem. Never know though, Sam Houston State can be dangerous

Not trying to take any shots at Texas A&M but academics probably wasnt either. Idk much about them and they may have a good school but Stanford is the only major football program to really compare with Notre Dame academically. Thats just crazy how he passed up on many of his top schools all of a sudden and didnt even go check them out.

That's probably a fair assessment, as ND was the only school in his top 5 offering elite degree value, and he eliminated us without ever visiting.

But you may be surprised to learn that aTm ranks 8th nationally for Football ROI (Caucasian); they offer about 67% of the degree value ND does. Though I recall OMM commenting that aTm is notorious for pushing its football players into fake majors, so this comparison might not mean much.

Edit: Should also mention that aTm has the 5th largest Racial GSR Disparity in the nation at 39%. African-American recruits who care about graduating should look elsewhere.

I still can't believe he committed to Texas A&M. I don't know if I've ever had a worse read of a kid through articles/insiders/mods. The picture they painted seems completely different from the kid who made this decision.

Honestly ruined my week.

Come on, dude. Step back. This one is a stunner, but we'll be fine. And while I'm not banking on it, I am in the camp that believes this kid will not be signing with aTm come February. It just makes no sense BASED ON WHAT HE HAS ALLOWED US TO KNOW ABOUT HIM.

By week, I mean next day and a half as I have college buds coming into town midweek and staying through the weekend. I'm allowed a day of mourning. And a half.

This was maybe my single most desired recruit for the class. Oh well. I just don't get how he decided to cancel his visit. SMH.

What some including me consider the #1 player in the country tentatively scheduled to visit in two weeks wasn't a pick me up?

She walked up to me and she asked me to dance
I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said Lola
L-o-l-a Lola lo-lo-lo-lo Lola

Well I'm not the worlds most physical guy
But when she squeezed me tight she nearly broke my spine
Oh my Lola lo-lo-lo-lo Lola

Well I'm not dumb but I can't understand
Why she walked like a woman and talked like a man
Oh my Lola lo-lo-lo-lo Lola lo-lo-lo-lo Lola

You may very well be right. If our QB depth wasn't so dire, I'd be tempted to call him a future flip (like Golson and Kiel). But as it stands now, we can't afford to take that gamble, so this random verbal to aTm probably counts us out for him. We'll take a different QB ASAP (hopefully Kizer), and I doubt Allen will want to be this class' 2nd QB after someone else has already assumed that leadership role.

I know I'm preaching to the choir, but I encourage everyone to read the whole article: Athletes tendencies to cluster in certain academic fields problematic, some say | KUsports.com

In my opinion, clustering is in the same disgusting arena as grey-shirting, over-signing and the like.

Texas A&M: 37 percent of the men’s basketball players and football players major in agricultural leadership and development, compared with less than 1 percent of nonathletes.

From: Many players on Big 12 teams share majors | Red Raiders
LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — An analysis of Big 12 athletics finds its commonplace for athletes to cluster in majors.

The Lawrence Journal-World reported that the most popular majors for University of Kansas men's basketball players are communications, African and African-American studies, and American studies. Sixty-one percent of the 43 players who've indicated a major in media guides majored in one of the three from 2004 to 2012.

Elsewhere, 51 percent of Baylor football players majored in general studies, while 37 percent of men's basketball and football players at Texas A&M studied agricultural leadership and development. At Iowa State, seven of 11 men's basketball players majored in liberal studies.

Clustering isn't against NCAA regulations. But experts say problems occur when students are pushed into programs that don't interest them because they have easier-to-meet requirements.

Along with the pathetically low graduation rates of black football and basketball players, schools seem all to inclined to shout "squirrel" whenever it's brought up. Info came out several years back that Michigan pushed its FB players into kinesiology. Can't recall who it was (Sean Cwynar?) who told one recruiting service he lost interest in Michigan when he discovered zero FB players were business majors?

Schools where clustering of majors is common

Associated Press

A look at schools in conferences that receive automatic BCS berths that have the highest percentage of football players pursuing the same majors. The survey includes only sophomores, juniors and seniors, and does not include players who have not declared a major or list no academic information. The material was compiled from media guides, university websites and information provided by schools.

At Least 50 Percent In Two Majors:

Texas A&M, Big 12

After Allen, I put zero weight in any "tentatively" scheduled visit.

Plus, I just don't really see us being a major player for Carter. Or his teammate.

I'm hesitant to assume anything regarding Allen at this point in time, given the recent occurrence of events lol

Ending the mystery of why Allen chose A&M over ND.

I read here recently that some people have a strong attraction to heifers.

Someone should have told him ND's claim to fame was its female livestock... er population.
