Really showed his athleticism on that play. didn't look like that normal lumbering OL out front.

Jeff Quinn's got bullets when it comes to recruiting. He just pulls out 49er highlights and points to both OT's and then Eagles highlights and then KC. He never even has to bring up Khalil Mack.

Dude's got Pro-Bowlers coming out every orifice.

Helluva rookie season for Mike.

Saw on ESPN he had no holding penalties in 16 starts and only three penalties all season.

It was a life-altering move for him to come back for the 5th year. I don't think he was ready after 4.

I hope our current and future OL are taking notes.

Great for Mount McG ... but I enjoy watching SF play and run the ball.
Sometimes I wonder if they are suicidal letting someone like Mike get away.

The fans don't like him, for whatever reason. Fans are stupid.
My guess is he's a salary cap casualty. I doubt what San Fan gets to replace him will be as good.

That's really the rub, too many mouths to feed. Hopefully they can snag somebody with one of these compensatory picks that pans out.

As a 49er fan, some were downright BRUTAL to him. He had his issues in pass pro, which we saw ourselves at ND, but he was not anywhere near as bad as others would lead you to believe. The 49ers gave up the 6th least sacks this season, and he was responsible for 1/5 of them. He isn't WORTH that much money, and the cap casualty thing is definitely true as well. That said, sign that contract McG and get paid because why wouldn't you?

49ers resigned one of our swing tackles from last year I believe, so there may be some thought he could step in. Time will tell.

National TV commentators just today praised McGlinchey as an excellent tackle and a good pick-up. McGlinchey can play. In his senior year next to Q by the way, there were NO reservations about his skills (unlike Eichenberg later who some confuse with him career-wise.) In fact prior to our bowl game vs LSU, Orgeron kept saying to the TV guys: I can't stop looking at film of that left tackle and left guard and wondering how we're going to stop the run.

SF fans (hopefully a vocal minority) seem thrilled that he’s gone & blame him for all that was wrong w/ their OL…especially in pass pro.

Regardless, I’m happy for the guy & hope he proves them all wrong.
