Sounds like both SF and Oak held their cards close on McG and were going to take him all along. In their latest mocks, Mayock and Jeremiah both had him off the board by Oak at 10. When the 49er's selected him at 9, Oak traded down and still got OT Miller from UCLA at 15.

Lombard was the starting RT and pulled a hammie. Romine had been the back up LT to Paul Duncan in '09 so they moved Z Mart to RT to cover for Lombard, while Romine got the starts at LT.

As a guy who has watched Irish football for 40 years this guy is one of my top 10 all timers-what a college career. Hope he gets his pension and makes a few pro bowls-class act.

The only NFL I watch anymore are the Colts...Q has had his lunch money taken on a few occasions that I've seen... It also seems like out of 70-some plays the media will take those few bad and make it more than what it is...comes with the territory Q, especially playing on a 1-5 team with the "best" loser at QB I've ever seen - I know folks will disagree, but Luck has never won anything at the helm...he's second fiddle's best player.

McG I haven't seen yet in the NFL as the "NFL" must stand for "Boring as hell league, nap time Sunday"...acronym is odd. I'm not surprised he is doing well. He is a great player and a fucking monster...
