According to uninformed sources, perhaps Zaire is hoping for a visit to South Bend.

To specific, huh?

But ... with a new O.C., wouldn't you have second thoughts?

Not too mention and ND graduate degree on the resume.

You wouldn't have second thoughts if you were Malik. A graduate degree in media from UNC would be optimal. But this is more about him finding a place where he can get on the field and throw the ball. Kid wants to play professionally.

Guy better work on his degree because the only way he is getting close to a pro team is by buying a ticket.

Thanks for that bit of professional analysis. There are a lot of guys making a good living in Canada that have no better skill set than MZ.

when you have such a non traditional throwing motion I don't think uploading slow mo videos of it is a good idea

I just saw this as well. Is he gonna play this year or what? Spring practices have started and I can't imagine him just walking into a team's fall practices and take someone's job. Just a strange situation.

Waiting on the SEC to allow him join Florida is what most people think.

Since when did the SEC have any rules?

My understanding is the SEC imposed some sort of grad transfer ban on Florida because they haven't actually graduated one in years. Zaire wants Florida and he's willing to wait things out. I'm not sure if UF is appealing the ban, or the ban lifts after the spring semester.

It's not unprecedented to take this long. I think Russell Wilson decided on Wisconsin in June of 2011, though it's not like he was competing with a ton of world beaters there. I wonder who his #2 is, is it still NC?

Wiscy or UNC is what I last remember reading.

UF would seem to be a pretty good spot to land. Must be confident in it if he's waiting out spring ball.

To shine or he's not good enough for P5, MWC or AAC?

I would say to shine.

Considering he didnt play much last year at all and what he did play wasnt really impressive, I wouldnt think he could step on any P5 campus and expect to play much (except maybe like Purdue or IU). Would definitely have to earn his spot quickly and by not participating in spring ball, even that much more rusty.

Thought he was to graduate this spring, thus couldn't leave until late spring anyway.

I don't know. Trying to remember if he EE'd. He did right? (and scared Gunner Kiel into transferring). If so he would have been on track to graduate in December, though maybe got slowed down along the way.

Pretty much this. Love Malik and want the best for him. Just don't see him stepping into a big time program in the Fall and being able to start and be the man. He has very little actual game experience. It's not like a Russell Wilson deal where he played/started 36 games before transferring for his 5th year. Wherever he goes I just hope he gets to start and play the whole season.

Didn't realize how bare Florida is at QB. The junior who started six games before getting hurt last year is going to miss spring ball for surgery and doesn't look like he was any great shakes to begin with. There's a couple of redshirt freshmen who've never played. Even with relatively little game experience for a 5Y, MZ could well walk in as the most qualified guy they've got. Though it certainly would help him to be there for spring.
