Agree to agree. He and Peppers were the best two prospects on Bosco last year, IMO. Could make a serious argument for Hamilton, but I feel like those two just have more upside.

Ironman you think he has the frame to bulk up and play DE for us. We are in good position for so many Lbs right now.

Smith, Ball, Cox, Anzalone, Randolph, Mattingly, Ogundeko, Muhammad, Drennon

That's 8 right there who you could say we lead for or are one of their top choices.

Idk if we would take him and Ogundeko. Either of them could bulk up and play DE

Crazier things have happened (cough..ehem... Schutt...), but it seems pretty unlikely that we would pass on a kid like Muhammad.

I think he could if he had to but I think what we are lacking most in the front 7 is elite passrushers. I honestly think this kid can be that, so I am just wary of asking him to bulk up and possibly lose his explosion. I do think he would play an awful lot with his hand in the dirt either way, though.

Not too worried about it though, our coaches seem pretty good at putting players in positions to exceed based on their skill sets and what the team needs. Let's just get this kid in the fold in Feb.

Bosco pipeline, where do I sign up for that? Gimme Shumate, Muhammad, and Peppers, and we will really be on to something with what we already have and where we stand with other recruits.

This kid falls in my 5 LB'er group that I think will grow into a monster DE.

OLBs and DEs

We have Matuska

Let's hope we get: Smith, Mattingly, Randolph, Ogundeko, & Rochell by the fall

This would leave us idealy with a need for 2 more OLBs/DEs

We will also probably get Ball if he has a committable offer this summer

This leaves Sherit, Muhammed and Drennon

I think we are in the top for all three and we only really need 1

Drennon favors PSU and will wait as long as possible IMO to go there

So if they want I think we take Sherit and Muhammed and either Muhammed or Ogundeko will bulk up to a DE

That would bring us to 20 commits and we need a ILB or two, a CB, and a WR

I think landing this kid would do a whole lot to get Peppers here next year too. I feel as though Yuri would have committed had ND not cooled on him or whatever it was we did after Twittergate, so that would make 3 kids in 2 years that could potentially be Irish. Having a pipeline at Bosco wouldn't suck and would show Peppers that ND is for real and relevant.

I guess it wouldn't hurt but I don't think it would drastically change anything. It is my understanding, and correct me If I am wrong Ironman, that Shumate is a lot closer to Muhammad than either are with Peppers.

Also I don't know about us necessarily leading. JC was the one that said he liked our chances but Sapp and Wiltfong would only commit to us being in his top group.

Yeah, but actually, I'm going to retract my statement about this helping with Jabrill. It just dawned on me he transfered out of Bosco. So this is just a Schumate/Muhammad thing.

actually know him fairly well through my dad and don bosco he is very interested and my dad is friends with his family and always trys to bring up nd in their conversations

Bits of tid: I was told from a good source that DE Alquadin Muhammad has a top two of Michigan and Notre Dame, but has held true to his decision to announce at the Army All-American game in February. Hard to see him in the Maize and Blue if that's the case

I think this kid is a key recruit for the staff because of his versatility. That seems to be more and more the emphaisis.

I am thrilled for us to be in the position we are with him! Now what very said seems to be right on point. I would prefer him to play DE myself but you gotta wait and see how he grows.
