Right, I still remember how estatic you were when Maty Mauk chose Missouri.

Yes... but I wish Tate Forcier...oops... I mean Maty Mauk all of the best.

I must have been super drunk last night, because I don't even remember typing up that long rant regarding the reporter. haha.

Not sure if this has been discussed in this thread but there has been discussions on twitter about it.

Is Jaylon or Manti a bigger get for ND?

I am going with Jaylon for the simple fact that he committed early and has time to help other great players come and play for ND.

....if you're not joking then read the pages before Jaylon committed...there you will get a lot of the boards opinions.

oh, snap...

Was he referring to Sweater Vest? Either way (previous scum bag or present scum bag), it's beautiful.

This right here made me feel good about being a Notre Dame fan and has me right back on the Kelly bandwagon. When your character is such that it pulls a kid in like Jaylon, as talented as he is, he is a better person than that, you know you have a staff that is turning boys to men. Just feeling very good about where me team is right now!

I would personally like to see him in 4.. as stupid as it sounds, 1 isn't a good looking number, in my opinion.. I've always thought 1 was the dumbest looking number on the back of a jersey, for whatever odd reason, lol

EDIT: and that's no offense to Ishaq (last year) or Gunner or whoever else wants to wear #1.. it's just kind of an odd thing I've always thought

Why don't we table this now and just wait and see, (jersey numbers). I think enough brain power has been used for this! (Some have little to spare.)

A more germane point is: have you ever seen a high school player be able to take the game to that level? I mean it seems like he just sucks all the air out of the room, until no one else is there! WOW! And, we don't need a running back this year!

He'll take 8, as in the 8th Heisman winner in ND history... wait... Moore has 8... he can switch to 7... wait... ah screw it. He can wear no number for all I care, just as long as it's a blue and gold jersey.

Hope we are not the insurance policy, as seems to be the case with a few of these highly rated guys recently.

We aren't, I assure you. He is shutting down his recruiting. In the post commitment interview, he said that he wants other coaches to stop contacting him. He's all Irish, been that way since he visited on March 3rd. His insurance policy is a Notre Dame education and he knows that more than any recruit I've seen so far.

Uhm, loomis, why ask this? Is this really your question? I mean, what do you want to know?

This guy just shut his recruiting down after d@mn, near the best twenty-four offers you could see. He wants to stay with his mother and family. And believe him when he says he knows what fake coaching schmooze is and believe him when he values his degree as number one.

When have we had a kid of this character and such a superb athlete as Jaylon? Not last year. Not the year before. Maybe never. Don't doubt a man that knows what he means.

Actually, it's just recently been posted that Manti Teo is our greatest coup in the last two decades on defense.

Lynch should be an honorable mention: but he gone.

Jaylon is special too. Manti Teo-ish special in terms of elite ready to play ability.

This from 247.
