Why wouldn't he want to enroll and play spring ball? Learning the schemes would benefit him.

That's a really good question, but he didn't announce that he'd grad transfer until after spring semester had started in most places IIRC. It's possible that he still needs coursework at Clemson this semester to graduate, but that's just me speculating.

He was also playing up until Jan. 9th and probably enjoyed the party and team obligations for a week or so. In his once in a lifetime situation, it would have been tough to figure out where to go in such a short amount of time.

I'm thinking Tillery may have developed a new attitude. We will see, but I've heard he's a changed man. Needs to last for two years, but all he needs is to stop with the stupid off the field shit, in other words, focus a little on what's paying his way.

Bogs my brother I completely agree with you. I think Tillery is coming in with a new focus and attitude. We could possibly be looking at an all-American. At least I hope.

Whether a 3 tech or NT, even if he's not No. 1 on the depth chart he'd get a ton of reps. We need to rotate more guys on the line, and he plugs in as essentially a co-starter at either spot.

I hear that. But if he is leaving a rotation to get more PT why would he come to a new school and be in a rotation again? Even if at the new school he may have more snaps. Why wouldn't he go to a school where he is the clear cut starter?

Reasonable speculation, however this Post and Courier Feb 17th article says Pagano graduated from Clemson in December.

Clemson defensive tackle Scott Pagano transferring | Sports | postandcourier.com

Defensive tackle Scott Pagano, who graduated from Clemson in December, will play his final year of eligibility elsewhere after serving as a backup on Clemson's 2016 national championship-winning team. Pagano redshirted in 2013, which gives him one more year of eligibility on the football field, despite being finished with his undergraduate degree in the classroom.

I haven't been reading up on this at all. Is there any talk of this dude coming to or showing interest in ND?
I can't see it and don't know how they would find room anyways

We made his final 7 schools, and Bartow suggested he will most definitely take an OV to ND.

There is ALWAYS room haha.

ND could go into Fall Camp with 97 dudes on scholarship, and then 14 of them would get abducted by aliens at Culver during the obstacle course fun day, leaving ND under-manned at 83 going into the season.

If he comes, he'll start next to Tillery for sure.

Like I mentioned before, it is my opinion that he would start at either DT position. It's not really that close even, Imo. But for the sake of argument, let's say that he is in a rotation. Pretty much every school with a good defense has a rotation. He played in a rotation last season, just not in a lead role. He would be in a lead role here. He also would happen to be surrounded by talent.

If he goes to a school that doesn't ever spell him, then that defense probably sucks.

What's interesting about Pagano is everyone assumes being from Hawaii he's Polynesian. Family is actually from the San Diego area and his dad is Italian.

***On Scott Pagano and ND

Wiltfong thinks ND is in the top 3-4
"his man" Bartow thinks it could be any of his top 7

But who knows Bartow acts like he has the best sources in the world and he's not the most popular guy in Florida

Hopefully Elko and their respective ACC ties can be helpful here. I recall two years ago in a game against Georgia Tech he played 26 snaps and had 12 tackles. Productive to say the least.

Agree..........I think when it comes to rotations it may be more of how the staff rotates guys. Do starters get 90, 80, 70, 60, 50 percent of the snaps?

Yeah, I think the staff should be able to answer that pretty easily. The kid would start and be rotated in correlation with his effectiveness. If he is playing at the level of 4.5 sacks a season from the DT position, then he will play a whole hell of a lot. But at the same time, all players are monitored and spelled when necessary.

Yep... after a week of 60+ beautiful weather, we have a two day return to temps hovering around freezing, then back to warm weather.

The football gods are colluding against us...

I don't know... its one thing for a 4% body fat WR to hate the cold weather. But its probably great for a 300 pounder.
