I like his size, instincts and physicality. I would rather see him at corner or safety.

The staff will likely be very conservative with early offers in the 2013 cycle because the class size will be so small.

Kid fits the athlete role for sure. He could play at a high level at a number of positions. I think you gotta offer. Let's get our second commit!

Note: I think we're looking at 18 for next year, but if we don't fill up this class, it's a different story.

If ND is this kids first choice, the staff will likely slow play it for the next 6-months, no? Until they make their 'big board' of who they want and get a feel for who's interested. If we had beaten UM, FSU and showed up for USC, we would already be full and turning away chances at some serious talent in this class. Next year's class is even smaller.

Charles Williams is a beast. He plays hard for us. Im coaching him up at DB..kid is serious. 6'3 195 and he's only 16..I think huge upside. Right along with the other top guys I've coached. 4 star kid all day everyday

The 6-2, 180-pound athlete has always been a fan of the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame and the early interest from Brian Kelly has got him excited.

“I grew up cheering for Notre Dame and so I’ve been a Notre Dame fan for a minute,” he said. “That was very awesome that they showed interest. It’s great knowing that they were interested in me.”

On Sunday, Williams was playing primarily safety but he can line up at quarterback, cornerback, safety or receiver. Currently Williams holds offers from Purdue and Western Kentucky and plans to attend Miami’s upcoming junior day. Expect to see him continue to pick up offers, regardless of position due to his size and natural athleticism.

I wonder how a 16-year-old kid from Miami, FL (who is almost certainly not Irish) grew up rooting for the Irish. We've only won the Sun Bowl and Hawaii Bowl in this kid's entire life! Only Notre Dame.
