Male or female salesperson? Not that it matters; not to be sexist or homophobic or anything, but it could make a difference.

I prefer macadamia and cashew but enjoy brazil, wal, hazel, litchi and pea nuts. Pecans are good, too, especially in a pie. I'm just nuts about nuts. Protein and antioxidants and all that.

cashew is not a nut. its actually a bean. part of the legume family. ;)

now back to all the other uninteresting EV thread babble.

go.

Thanks for the correction and information. I keep hearing on all the cooking shows that legumes are a good thing so I'm probably still "doing good" and may live to see my Social Security years.

This thread left the "pure" recruit tracks a while back. The same can be said of EV. Stay cool, my friends.

I might be in Eddie's neck of the woods this week for work. I could stop by and get some pre-statement, statements from various people that live in his neighborhood if you guys want to keep the flame alive. I used to do person on the street interviews for a music magazine way back when so I have some cred as a reporter.

Not one to read much into what a kid is posting on social media, but with the Eddie Vanderdoes silence I'll pass this along...Repost from Vanderdoes' instagram: "A person will never understand the importance of what you bring to the table until you stop bringing it"
Thought that was an interesting post given the situation as we wait to find out the how, when and why of his impending college enrollment.

No idea

Maybe he's saying Kelly and the staff don't understand what he can bring to the table, because he hasn't stopped bringing it yet, because it in fact hasn't been brought yet. o_O

Nope. Not even going to follow up on that. I did actually, Y! SPORTS - article uses rather amiguous wording on who paid what as well as stating that Alford AND UCLA paid it. However, that cannot be the norm (for coaches to actually pay it) or even statistically relevant. Just my thoughts based on nothing more than my...brain recall. lol

Still don't think it's right. A coach can make promises and fail to keep them with minimal repercussions while a kid gets hammered. If you don't see that, we are on the wrong wavelength.

Why does it matter if the coach or the hiring school pays it. If a coach is employed by School A and is hired by School B and as part of the contract negotiations he gets school B to pay for the buyout that he owes to School A, which is fine. The point is that the buyout is still getting paid. Also when the buyout is rather large then it is sometimes split between coach and school (see Michigan and Rich Rod, where Michigan payed 2.5 million to WVU and Rich Rod payed the other 1.5 million).

I can't let this slide. I lost a spelling bee in third grade because I misspelled "stopped." It's haunted me for 25 years. I normally wouldn't give a shits otherwise.

I memorized the spelling of antidisestablishmentarianism in preparation for a sixth grade spelling bee, but lost with Plaque.

You can't take the size of the bark out of the dog when a tree falls in the woods and no one's around to hear it.

I'm not really sure what the hell is going on, but the spelling bee memories made every bit of clicking on this thread the best part of my day.

4 out of 5 dentists would have been pissed as hell at you. 4 out of 5 political junkies would have loved you!

I don't recall ever losing (not loosing) a spelling bee (not Aunt Bee, that was Sheriff Andy's relative), especially when I led (not lead) in the final round. There (not their or they're) were (not we're) times when it was a tough row (not roe) to hoe (not ho), but (not butt) I persevered.

Did you also have "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" down pat (not the Irish81 type)?

Unless, of course, you are attuned to the sound of one hand clapping ...

Nope, I'm not even sure I can say it. My younger identical twin sisters were well versed at spelling it if memory serves me correctly.

I will be raising hazel nuts shortly. I just planted my first bushes this spring.
