Is he a backup plan in case they don't land Eddie? Or is there legit interest in bringing both along? I find it hard to believe the staff would take both after hearing we lead for Prevot as welll.

I personally would rather get Fitts than Prevot if it's possible. Really like both (and Hollins), but I think the need on the DL is more pressing and important than at LB.

ND has legit interest, they would ideally like to add another elite d-lineman and that is what Fitts is. Fitts also has Notre Dame in his new top 5. He will only take 3 visits from here to signing day so ND will have to work. He is no back-up plan.

Agree completely homie. Prevot seems more like a Cat to me and ND is loaded at LB (sorry Hollins). Fitts and Vanderdoes to me should be the top 2 targets. Rochell and Matuska are not enough.

I tend to agree with you ... I was surprised how much emphasis Sapp put on Prevot and Hollins in Tunnel Vision today. He is definitely under the impression that getting another big skill defender is a top priority. Most people on this board, me included, believe that a true DL should be the top priority, and another big skill defender is a luxury. A little confusing to me.

I agree. I should've been more clear. My surprise in taking on both, EV and Fitts, was under the assumption the staff will also take Prevot. They seem to have put the CAT at a premium, especially now that AQM is gone. To me, that suggests they'll take one of Prevot/Hollins and one of EV/Fitts. However, with that said, I completely agree that if there's only room for two, it should be both Eddie AND Fitts. My confusion is purely blamed on that fact that no one really knows how many spots are left. Hell, they could know of some transfers/medicals already and take five more for all we know. Unlikely, I know. Just sayin.
