In the big scheme of things that is not really that much money. If you account for her lawyers fees and taxes the amount she may receive will not be exactly enough for a woman like that to retire on.

Plaintiff's lawyers typically work on a contingency fee of 20-30%. Money won through a legal judgment is often exempt from taxation, since it's theoretically paid in compensation for a loss or injury.

She's suing the hotel for $6 million and the guy who video taped her for $4 million. It's highly unlikely that the peeping tom has that kind of money, but she might get a big chunk out of Marriott.

Anyone could live quite comfortably off $5 million + if invested properly, but that hardly means that Andrews will be quitting ESPN. Her job is the source of her celebrity, which brings lots of other opportunities to make money (photo shoots for Maxim, etc.)

She'll likely settle out of court with Marriott for an undisclosed amount and continue working for ESPN. Whether she pursues her claim against Michael Barrett probably depends on how vindictive she is and whether it hurts or helps her public image.

If you were going to get this kinda pay day would you work

If everyone had that attitude then all the actors, singers, athletes would do their thing for one year and leave.

.....some people have a passion and love for what they do

Normal people (non celebrities) could live off that kind of money easily.

I hope she gets something.

On a side note, I use to work with a girl who was the spitting image of Erin. She wasn't as tall but she made up for it with a chest that would make most men reeeeealy appreciate her deep breadths.....sigh

Just heard over the radio that she is sueing for $6 Million from the hotel and $4 million from the guy who taped her.

The radio jockey said if she got a million dollars for everyone that looked at it she would have $5 trillion dollars.

Sueing for invasion of privacy and emotional stress.

Still never saw the video, from what people say it wasn't very clear anyway. Still, she deserves all the money she can get. What kind of perv goes to such lengths to get this stuff anyway?
