Another victim of BVG and longo. Hope he gets faster through proper training and gets a shot at a coach that can provide a clear message

Many of the mock draft guys are saying that cornerback is the deepest position in this draft. I have seen up to 10 CBs in the top 50. Cole seems to be a victim of how deep this draft is at his position. Hope he can get drafted on day 3 and make an impact on someone's roster.

Yea, its not a coincidence that a lot of players on defense either haven't improved much or have flat out regressed. The entire defense did, and outside of Jaylon Smith, arguably ND's biggest freak athlete ever, the defense regressed as individual players did. BVG was 100% on board with preaching scheme, scheme, scheme, and very little player development. That obviously cost the players and ultimately the team.

Now, I do believe that Cole didn't provide the type of leadership he should've in his last 1-2 years, but as a player, he's better than what most of last season showed.

Cole should just hang out in Green Bay. The way they went thru CBs last year he would be starting by the 5th game of the season.

Was he expected to be drafted?
I gather a guy with his ranking out of high school (and Jarron Jones') together with the position he plays, not getting drafted hurts the school recruiting a bit right?

Huh?

Most 4 star guys go undrafted. That's just the nature of the beast. Them getting drafted would have been nice, but we didn't have anyone who was going to get drafted in a high round this year except Kizer. It's not that big of a deal.

I would not be surprised if he made it (at all). Cole was VERY good for us during most of his career ... and smart ... and a good tackler/effort-maker. There were lots of games that he was better than Russell. Many times he'd end up saving the butts of the safeties coming all the way across the middle. Hope that you catch on, Warrior.

That would be a nice turn around if he were to become the player we thought he would after his first two years. Because he was a big disappointment down the stretch. If he does make it, it's gonna throw more shade on the former staff and his position coach.
