Does anyone else think that the fact he dropped us the moment he didn't need a insurance policy, in case of injury, smell like ed oregerons sack after a work out?

Or maybe the kid started going to all-star games, got a whiff of the big time, felt underappreciated by ND for whatever reason, and let a glitzier program (with better track) get into his head.
I mean, he's 18, who knows. Would like to give him the benefit of the doubt and not just assume he used us.

When you talk about a 40-year decision being a main tenant of your college decision then get down to a final three of FSU, Clemson, and Auburn the benefit of that doubt diminishes. It's fine that Darby wants to change his mind. The kid deserves to do what he wants but it is more than fair to ponder the ultimate motives he had. I hope he enjoys his time and has great success. He seems to be a good kid and is a great football/track talent.

I don't have any insight to Darby, just doesn't seem like the kind of person who play the insurance game. He's been pretty quiet, have never heard a negative about him.

He just seems like a kid having a good time trying to make a big decision. Going to be hard picturing him in another uniform after all this time but it is what it is.

Someone on BGI just stated they noticed on Bang Bang that Darby dropped us...

I don't do FB. Anyone else read that, and whether or not it's valid?

Does anyone else around here find it weird that a bunch of grown men let their emotions be impacted by the ups and downs of the decision making process of 17 and 18 year old kids? No way in hell Im going to kiss some 17 year old kids a** to try and get him to come to ND. Our coaches get paid big bucks to do that. If Darby comes to ND, cool. If he doesnt, cool somebody else will, and we will win with the kids who want to be here. If we had a QB this year we are easily a top 10 and maybe even top 5 team. We've got our QB now. BK will bring in enough talent to get this program where he wants it on a consistent basis. If Darby is headed to FSU or Auburn I dont see how it matters what the reason is...I say "good riddance, see you in a BCS bowl someday if you're school makes it". Anything more than that, I'll leave up to the coaching staff.

It looks like its just someone relaying the tweet from RivalsMike that "it looks like Darby has dropped ND"..

No, seems perfectly normal for any recruiting fan site this time of year.

The people in the group dont know anything more than those posting here, except the players who dont speak on that stuff publicly for good reason. Darby left the group the day he de-committed, other than that they are just speaking on the same stuff, from the same "sources" that are being spoken on in here.

So then you're a member?

I know this will bring out some self-righteous people,but...
I was checkin up on Darby's Facebook page...and he still has ND stuff littered all over his page. Now that may not seem like much, but most kids change stuff on their profile page all the time, especially details about themselves, and if you do a little digging he seems to correspond to these trends.
The kid has never said a bad word about us, and besides committing and decommitting from ND has not publically shown a favorite other than ND.
I'd say we're still near the top of his list.Just a hunch.

Im not saying this board in particular. Im saying it is just flat our weird that a grown man would allow his emotions to be dictated by life decisions a 17 year old boy he has never met and has no relation with.

Dude.

You're reading his "recruiting thread" and posting here.

Are you self-diagnosing?

If rivals Mike said it I like our chances. I'll wait to see what the actual analysts think on 247, II, or even ISD.
