Here is what I can gather.
- Cal led for Arik before the Auburn trip, ND trailed. They want to play together, but that relaly seems to mean Armond is going to try real hard to follow Arik.
- ND was the only real option for Armond; USC and Pac12 made Cal impossible. SEC's Masoli Rule apparently made Auburn and Arkansas impossible.
- Arik visited Auburn because the coaches did a great job recruiting him and piqued his interest, but they were a distant third behind Cal and ND when he left.
- Armond went with Arik because they want to play together and Auburn claimed that it could be a possibility despite the Masoli Rule. They visited to keep options open.
- Armond left for ND from Auburn with his Dad because they were serious about ND, with or without Arik. They explored options with Auburn, including delaying enrollment for Arik and/or Armond. They left saying that they would decide after the ND visit.
- Tosh leaves Cal for Washington. This throws a wrench in Arik's plans, and means Arik has to re-think things. Auburn is fresh on his mind. He liked ND, but may have never thought they were ahead of Cal, so they don't automatically win if Cal is out.
- Armond visited ND and got everything in motion. He really liked ND, sounds like more than they expected. They traveled home this morning.
- The family is discussing things this afternoon. ND offers the chance to play together plus play BBall. So it is the presumed leader.
Did I leave anything out?
