I agree Terry, I was on Rivals message board and people are freakin out. I get it, we are very sensitive b/c of what other stud d-lineman have done to us, but Stephon seems like the kind of kid that is going to stick w/ us, to me. So until he says different, everybody needs to chill.

In regards to Tuitt it's scary when these guys keep everything on the down low, which is certainly their right and how I would do if it were me.

Is that the only visit he is taking or are there more? I feel like I'm totally out of the loop here... but yeah that isn't good at all this is the most important recruit in the class.

I'm unaware...is Auburn qualify as a "prestigious university" like Notre Dame or Northwestern to name a few, meaning does a degree from there hold any weight?

I remember reading how important education was to him, which was a big part of his appeal to Notre Dame.

I have no problems with a kid looking around and doing his due diligence. By all means I hope we keep him but if he decides Auburn is the right place for him then I wish him the best. I still think he stays Irish with the way our defense is playing so well and the education but this just gives me added motivation to root for the Ducks.

You only need to review the results in the thread re. grad rates to see how AU values the "education" their student athletes are there to receive. Too lazy to go back through it but I recall it wasn't good. This guy along w Hegarty are 1 and 1A in terms of importance in this class.

Unless if Kelly plans to have another in home visit where he goes. I like our chances in keeping Tuitt in this class.

Read the article...what did it say that we didn't already know? And Auburn site reported that he might visit, BGI picked up on that, and the SBT picked up on that. It even says something to the effect of "whether Tuitt takes the visit remains to be seen". The title is completely misleading!

Now, I will say that usually where there's smoke there's fire, and we've been burned aplenty, but I'll wait until I hear it from the kid before I flip out over some rumors.

Thanks, I think ND is in good shape with Tuitt. Coach Alford has done an amazing job with our recruits and I think an in home visit from Kelly would be nice.

I'm a year or two past freaking out on individual recruits. They want to take the easy way out and make some cash, let them go. Watching Kelly and Co. turn around the season the past few games with Weis's guys is enough to not make me worry. Sure, we all hate to lose top ranked guys, but cry about it now? No.
