He just tweeted he didn't know a 4.9. Says he ran a 4.45. Sorry on phone can't embed. @stadium20status

I'm more inclined to believe that 40 time. More than likely neither of them are accurate. 4.45 seems a bit more realistic, but still unlikely since I never really saw that kind of speed from Cierre (maybe in some of 2011), but 4.93 is just plum ridiculous.

Did you not see the last two posts above yours?

Must be a slow track or something. Michael Sam ran a 4.69 on his pro day and a 5.07 and 5.1 at this veteran combine. Maybe it's 43 yards by accident?

Da'rel Scott ran a 4.34 at the combine a few years ago and apparently is now running a 4.74. Hard to believe every single guy is running so much slower.

Rapoport tweeted out that Leshore ran a 4.61 earlier and is now saying his times are 4.75 and 4.85. Even if the first time is unofficial I've never seen a guy gain 0.15 seconds on their time going to the official time.

Edit:
Tom Pelissero tweeted that the electronic times are at least 0.1 seconds or more slower than the scouts at the event timed the guys at.

Cierre could run a 4.9 if he weighed 250. Did he go in at 250? If he was anywhere near 215 lbs, and he was in any bit of shape, he was 4.6ish at his worst 4.7.

This combine sounds to me like a way to get agents off of GMs. Just no way some of these guys ran the 40s being posted...bullshit! total bullshit...

pre draft these guys are working out 24/7 to prepare for these drills with it all paid for by their agents. I doubt these veterans are getting the same prep.

So many variables to take into account. If a guy hasn't been working out for a while or just started back up, I can see a big difference in times. Laser is always more accurate, unless the machine needed to be re-calibrated.

I mean... there was/is quite obviously a flaw. I'm not sure what the flaw is, but there is one. No one goes from running a 4.34 to being half a second slower in the 40 at age 26 even with the injuries Scott has had. These times are impossibly slow.

I can't say how much preparation went in...but most of these guys are under 30. Also, they've known this was coming up. Even two weeks of hard training for someone who kept working out is going to get them on their average 40 time...will they run a personal best...no, will they be running lineman times...no.

Maybe he was stoned? I remember in college when I made a horrible decision and drove under the influence of the hippie lettuce. I felt like I was speeding, but I was only going 20-25 mph.

If EVERYBODY was mystified about their times, then something somewhere is off. If anyone came out and said, "yeah, that seems about right," then its sour grapes

Wow, RIP child.
I really hope Cierre didn't have anything to do with this. Disturbing....

He always struck me as a POS, if I remember correctly he was defending Aaron Hernandez saying he was wrongly accused.

Black men that date white trash usually get the worst possible benifit of the doubt.
Just an observation of mine over the last 40 years...
