Yesterday my aunt, father, and I were in the same car. I had shown my dad the new uniform in the JAX airport, and he was almost brought to tears "The helmet... its not gold" he just looked heartbroken. During the ride he said to my aunt, who is an ND fan who will cheer if they are on TV but won't get all into the tradition, said it best. "You don't mess with the helmet." I think the uniform is okay, it may even be "swaggy" at first I thought they were ridiculously ugly.

The helmet is not Notre Dame... Maybe its not ugly (I don't care for it). BUT it could be a beautiful helmet, if its not GOLD, its not Notre Dame. ND has GOLD helmets... Don't mess with the helmet.

I'd love to see the letter you send the ND administration.

The thing is, ND shouldn't have to cater to recruits in this way, or market this way. The simplistic appeal of BEING ND should be enough.

Notre Dame is not "swaggy" It shouldn't try to. Being Notre Dame is the best.
