I've got to spread it around before I can rep you on your three-part post on white priveledge. I think this was a fantastic contribution to the discussion. It's open mindedness and examination from both sides of the issue SHOULD inspire a more civilized discussion (although I seriously doubt it will). I don't agree on everything you posted, but I agree with most of it. All three posts were insightful and thoughtful. I appreciate it.

I appreciate you locking down that "Racial beat-down" thread, but would have appreciated more if you had mentioned that the victim and the bus driver both were white. In your analogy of opposites, if three white kids had beaten an African-American, and the bus driver had been of color also, I don't think it would have gotten the racial play you intimated. The shame is this is a story about the bus driver being charged with neglect and endangerment because he didn't even come to the aid of the kid after the assailants left the bus!
