Amazing signature! Reps upon reps upon reps you deserve for that my friend

Why thank you my friend. They might as well have put him in last night. Rec league chucker and CJ did next to nothing.

Back on topic. I see what you are saying about him not committing, but if someone feels that strongly and have just been waiting for the offer, why not. It's the exact same situation as Keuchly would have been a few years back, and look how that turned out for him. I say commit away.

A head-to-head Alabama-Notre Dame recruiting battle? Haven't had one of these in my time as a recuitnik.

There haven't been a lot, Melvin Dansby, Eric Chappell, and a guy named Justin Tuck come to mind.

DB Labrose Hegemon and OL Matt Brennan came to ND from AL but I don't recall either of them being highly recruited by UA.

If he's got a "top 2" of ND and Alabama, chances are he is not the kind of kid who ends up at ND (i.e. football-first). Hope I'm wrong though (or ND just has a killer season on the field).

Or he could be football first and want to actually play, alot. Alabama has a bunch of studs. Getting on the field for them is no guarentee. Not that it is for us either, especially if we get Jaylon and another LB* (Cox/ Anzalone), but I would imagine it would be easier to get on the field for us than Bama.

*Not sure if his is LB or DL, but we are strong in both.

May have been asked: Does he know Ishaq at all?

He has said in interviews hes looking for a school that can get him to the NFL. Very early in the process for him.

FWIW Syracuse people swear he is going to the same school as Augustus Edwards, a low 3 star RB from NY.

“@bricesdad: Impressed that Jeff DE Ogundeko is going to graduate in Jan. '13. Very rare for a #PSALFootball scholar athlete.”

Early Enrolle?

I suppose it helps that Notre Dame will have had linebackers drafted in two consecutive drafts. It's not Alabama, but it shows the Irish can develop talent too.

If in January we're having this conversation I'd be more inclined to agree with you. I don't believe he's visited Alabama and therefore has had a chance to meet all the coaches, tour the school, meet with admissions, etc. At this point, he's probably going off the little he knows about all the schools that have offered. And we could be in his top 2 because of how strong we've come on in the last few weeks.

Generally I think you're right Lax, but it's still early in this recruitment.

“@NYPost_Brazille: Jefferson DE Ebenzer Ogundeko plans to commit during an All-American game, he said. Will likely be at Army. #psalfootball”

Who are the ND commits that will be in his ear? (assuming he goes to Army)

Are all three of them solid for us? Well then let the games begin!

Yes.

Texas came by Robinson's high school last week and were really impressed by him. If they offered I'd be slightly concerned.

I wouldn't simply because I don't think he's the kind of kid or family to back out of a commitment. But who knows... it's recruiting. Anything is possible.

I heard about that too, but I have to agree with LAX. Don't see it as his style. Thought I remember his dad saying something about how they were all Texas, and/or A&M but neither school showed them interest, and now that was behind them, as in out of the question. But you never know. The only thing you know with the Robinsons is the bagman, or anything nefarious is out of the question.
