I was alarmed when I was reading the article in the South Bend paper today and it implied that Kona had passed Lou on the depth chart. Makes no sense to me. This kid has seemingly bought in completely. If they are screwing with him for some reason and it causes him to leave the program, I have a major problem. Lynch I could see. It had become obvious that it wasn't a good marriage. I don't get the Nix thing at all.

Not saying it's true, but what if Kona just really did beat him out? I wouldn't have a problem with a guy playing harder and beating someone out. Just my opinion.

I love Louis Nix, but if this thing really turns out to be true. So be it.

Yes, the staff is purposely screwing him. Louis is one of my favorite players, but if he's quitting and heading back to Florida, I'm not going to hold Kelly accountable.

Maybe Kona is just a really big, strong, Samoan that grew into his 300 lbs.

If Kona beats him out then that is fine. The best players should play. I know I did not articulate this in my prior post, but the issue I'd have if he left is that he does not seem to have the same kinds of problems that Lynch had, and it would lead me to believe that something happened that he felt was unfair. In other words, he doesn't seem prone to this type of thing, so it would be more concerning to me than what happened with Lynch. I know that my post didn't explain that well, but that is where I was coming from.

I'd love to understand the intricacies of the situations. I just simply do not understand what is going on right now.

Screw anyone that does not want to be a part of this. When you sign that LOI you are making a commitment. Once you turn 18, you are a grown man and need to live and learn by your decisions.

This is not necessarily directed at Big Lou, despite being in his thread. I can live with the 11th hour defections, but this "take my ball and go home" mentality by players already in the program is so ridiculous.

Everything you saw and read about Lou's personality seems counterintuitive to this newest potential development. Hopefully, tis much ado about nothing.

But if the sky falls again, don't let it hit ya where the good Lord split ya.
