FSU academics are largely a joke.

hey, that underwater basket weaving can be one tough major if you don't learn how to breathe.

Even though i have a degree from neother university, this is not difficult to believe. This kid is very easily inflienced.

At least he didn't commit.

I'm actually with you. With trips to UF and FSU out of the way with no verbal, I feel like we at least have a fighting chance. The FSU trip in particular had me pretty nervous. IMO still a tough pull, but we have a decent shot.

Also, fwiw, the first poster on one of Ryan's threads on the 247 Noles board said ND is known for misleading recruits and neg recruiting. Cited Lynch's recruitment.

I got a laugh out of that.

To be fair, the second Nole poster set him straight.

Have to have a great year on the field this year. FSU will be in the running with Clemson for the ACC title this year. They play Clemson in their fourth game of the year. I don't see FSU losing more than 3 regular season games. It's going to be a long recruitment. Anything thing less than 8 regular season wins for us, will not bode well for recruiting momentum. This schedule makes me more nervous, than any other year in recent memory.

Correct me if im wrong, but i think he has just caught a ride with Reily Gibbons both visits

I believe he came up in the Gibbons family RV so maybe it only did cost him a dime. Ironman's comment was a figure of speech indicating ND didn't pay his way. It was an UNOFFICAL visit. I don't know if they split the gas, food, or whatever other expenses they incurred along the way, do you?

Regardless of how the expenses broke out, he's made the 40 hour Round Trip journey now twice and he wasn't compensated for the expenses by ND. I'd take a work week's worth of hours travelling by road as a hell of a lot more than a casual interest ragardless of "the dime".

He has driven to ND twice on his own dime... We certainly have a chance.

It's ND or FSU.

well aware of this...think his recruitment is gonna be long and he'll need an official to seel the deal if he's irish imo

I understand what he was saying. Thanks for the caps on the unofficial though bud.

And I understand he was taking his free time to check out ND and has real interest in ND. Just kind of mentioning that he road up with a lifelong ND fan and his family rather than rolling up here on his own.

Don't they say this every year?

Talked a lot with Darby while there. Ugh

Hey that could be a good thing though...I don't see Darby dissing ND. Correct me but didn't he pick FSU because of the better track opportunity? Or was it because they didn't want him to take other trips?

If it was just because of track he pry had nothing but good things to say about why he originally committed to ND. Of course I'm sure Darby would want to recruit Green to FSU and talk them up but I bet he asked a lot about ND.

I really don't think we get him or Ty Isaac but I'm really not worried. Just too many factors working against us unless we tear it up on the field this year. Even if Cierre leaves after this year, RB is a position of strength and depth moving forward. I'd love to add a really elite talent to go with the guys we have right now, but I'm super comfortable with Carlisle + Atkinson + the recruits we have coming in.

I thought it was because we didn't show him "enough love" after he was committed...? thought that was reported by a reputable poster here..

Green knows everything that is 'good' about ND; him talking to Darby can in no way be positive for us.

On a side note, did Darby enroll early?

Rumors from rivals, one of the buddies that is an FSU fan and memeber of Warchant(rivals)...said apparently, Green does want to run track. That coupled with the fact he was visiting with Benedict Arnold...I mean Darby, does not bode well for us IMO. I will be pleasantly surprised if he comes back to ND for another visit, and shocked if he does commit to ND. It is a long recruiting season though, so who knows.

God, I am starting to hate FSU as much as I hate Michigan....starting

I think this is all we need to know. FSU coaches know how to recruit. Why not put Ryan Green with Darby, the guy who dropped ND for FSU two months ago? I'm sure that Darby isn't giving Green some unbiased information just to merely help him make his own decision. Guys who commit, let alone sign with a school, are always going to talk up their school and get other elite guys, see Zaire, Malik.

If he gets up for a visit, I think we can stay in this. But we are in no way in as good a position as we were even two weeks ago.

More to the point, and above all though, I agree with you that I hate FSU.

I'd love to get Green for next year.

That being said, I've been with Lax for a while on the RB position in this cycle. The team will have Carlisle, GAIII, Roberson, and Mahone for sure next year. And assuming Neal and Russell are kept on the offensive side of the ball, those 2 guys will be there as well (I'd say at least 1 of them for sure). The present and the future are both looking good at RB. Would it look even better with Green in the mix? Absolutely- the kid is a stud! But I won't be super upset if he doesn't come.

I would love to have Roberson, any year. More, I would rather see him healthy, and not even have him. But I am getting the distinct impression, especially after Kelly's comments (4/14) that he may never play again.

And what the **** is that thing?

DO WORK!!! PM with anything to throw at my FSU friend...please lol!

The only thing I've ever pm'd was Lynch's cell number to NDinL.A. Unless I am asked to not tell the info, I always tell the board. I'm not cryptic on my information and I always give the source.

With that said, I'll do as much as I can to find so info tonight.

Here's the problem though: you may not be able to throw anything in his face. Let's hope I can :)
