What college teams do this? Not arguing, I just honestly don't know of many that use multiple TE sets (besides Stanford). I know multiple TE's are a staple of pro offenses though.

IIRC, Michigan has two distinct TE positions. One of our resident skunkbears might be able to shed more light on this.

I was thinking about the whole 6'4-6'7 2 athletic hybrid TE/WR sets we could be using. Kelly clearly plans on installing a no huddle offense eventually, so a lineup of 1RB/slot WR 2 hybrid TE and 2WR could be impossible to stop.

play 1: both TEs on the line, power running attack

no huddle, no subs
play 2: spread both TEs out, drop into shotgun, and have your TEs attack the slower LBs or shorter DBs attempting to cover them in the slot

no huddle, no subs
play 3: leave one TE split out, bring the other back onto the line. run or pass? then move the RB/slot reciever into motion and attack with an empty backfield

this offense has some crazy potential

2 TE, 1 WR, 2 RB set

SURPRISE

5 Wide empty backfield

With Eifert, Niklas, Neal (or really any WR), Atkinson (maybe Carlisle / Wood), Theo

Oh and for good measure Golson at QB incase they play real deep and leave a huge soft spot in the middle after only bringing three.

Do you have some sort of formula for determining likelihood of decommitting? Mine is that I take the top 3 players committed and give them all 50/50 chance, lol. Beat that!

I use this formula: .5 x the number of times the kid says he will be taking other vists ÷ (the number of visits he makes to ND prior to commiting) x the numer of colorful quotes his failed atlhlete father makes to the press. That will give yo the % liklihood of decommiting.

That gives infinity for tee and his cousin... something does add up

Being from San Antonio and following his dad since he was picked by the spurs, this is just great! Followed the family throughout the years. Very humble group. Great example of a student athlete. Can not wait to see him on the field.

247 gave him a three-star 85 rating today.

I'm not sure if that's their legitimate view or if they did it because it's better than the NR he had.

A little of both I would say. I think that they think he is a 3 :s: they just aren't sure where to stack him with the others yet. An 85 rating would put him between #80-#84 WR at the moment.

An 85 makes perfect sense based on current film that is out there. Stay tuned to what he does this summer and his senior year. Im really hoping he does some 7on7.

Assuming he doesn't grow more than 3 inches, how does he compare to say a Maurice Stovall? Both tall recievers but will Stovall be more physical than Corey?

I think i heard or read somewhere that his high school league isn't very highly respected, so a big jump in the rankings will more than likely have to be done in camps and 7on7s

He was a standout WR at the Dallas Nike Camp a couple days ago...

I can't be happier to have this kid on board. So intelligent and well spoken. The epitome of a family that "gets it." Favorite part of the interview was listening to them talk about what schools they looked at considering... it was Stanford, Duke, ND, etc.

So. Happy. I really hope his upside pans out.

That was slick.

Just wait until he runs like that while being 6'8 too...

I'm all over the Twitter machine brah. Can't beat me haha.

I am surprised by this as well but very excited. I feel like his senior year is going to be stellar. Isn't he the one who has only been playing football for a few years? Or is that another one of our commits? I can't remember.

He's only been playing for ~3 years. He has serious upside and has been dominating combines recently.

To be fair, his junior year was not super impressive. Will be interesting to see to what level he steps things up this year.

That's what I thought. I think once he gets more direction and coaching, his measurables will take over. His ceiling is awfully high with that bloodline.
