Updates up. He loved it, family loved it, can definitely see himself at ND, but is excited to see how the process goes and is in no rush. Wants to major in pre-law. He hung out with Manti and apparently they had a real strong connection.

Planning on going to a tOSU spring practice, and has the ND spring game at the top of his list.

Also, for the record, he made the trip with his mother and step-father.

Sounds like the coaches did a great job setting him up to hang out with Manti.

Also, you have to love that he went all irishtrinity on us regarding his spring game plans. What are the odds he reads IE and is just trolling us? (only as far as the top of the list thing goes)

I thought he stated that he wanted to get out of his brother's shadow. In an interview with an OSU reporter, the OSU reporter stated that he felt his brother would have no effect on Jaylon's decision.

From my understanding, and this comes from my friend who is very in tune with the Ft. Wayne sports scene, he said he'd be awfully surprised if Jaylon chooses tOSU. His son runs track and plays football at Ft. Wayne South, and also goes to AWP from tim to time. This is by no means a guarantee or even saying he wouldn't choose tOSU, just saying pretty much what others here already know, we are sitting very pretty right now.

Because his brother hasn't been much of a fan of Meyer at all? Maybe they smooth things out (or already have) but it seems like an Armstead situation minus medical issues.

only reason his brother is still around in cbus is so urban gives himself a small glipse of hope...he'd been gone two months ago if Jaylon wasn't his brother.

Love to see something like this after a visit. It's when a recruit says specifics about what he thought about his visit, ie: looking up to Manti, is when me honestly means he enjoyed it. When the only thing the kid says is that the visit was great is when it is just lip service. Gotta think we get this kid relatively early in this recruiting process.

he's also been tweeting alot at Eifert, talking about Rudy, said trip was lovely as well. Definitely a good start.

At this moment, Jaylon is a ND lean and I dont see how anyone can say other wise. Lets just hope he is still a ND lean when NSD comes around.

Just watched Jaylon's highlights again!! SWEET MOTHER OF PEARL!! This kid is quite impressive to say the least. I hope he joins the Irish

As was previously mentioned on page 2 of this thread, Jaylon's mom has been quoted as saying she wants her son to stay in state but doesn't name the school.

“I want him to stay in Indiana,” Sophia said. “I have a pick. I can’t say but I do have a pick. But Jaylon knows that it’s his decision. I’m going to try my best to persuade him to do what I want, but it’s his life and his future. He’s always listened to mom before, and hopefully he does with this, but if not I can’t be mad at him. I want him to go where he wants.”

His girlfriend gave him some ND gear for Valentines Day.

Sounds like both women in his life seem to like ND. More good signs for a potential ND commit.

That's why I always say "do what's best for you and your high school girlfriend;" it's always the best idea.

But seriously, that is awesome. I would be overjoyed with this recruiting victory.
