Tweeting w/ Josh Johnson about footwork and video said only one other DB on as footwork like him and that person is Bennett Jackson

Actually Johnson asked him if any of the other DBs did those footwork drills with him and Tee said that only Bennett did. Nice to know that a couple of them realize the opportunity in front of them and are trying their best to take advantage of it. Also kind of sad that someone like Bennett, with as much as he has on his plate with track, is the only other DB working extra with Tee.

If you don't have that mind set/ that attitude/ that cockyness/ that swagger playing "CORNERBACK" Your probably shouldn't be playing CORNER! -- (@tshepard08) "Follow Me on Twitter"

The players on this defense truly believe they are going to be the best in the NCAA next year. You can just sense it.

IF we get the QB thing to work out.... well.... I've been saying "if" for God knows how many years so I'll just stop there.

Shepard doesn't strike me as a guy who's easily impressed, especially not by other DBs.

That's quite an endorsement for Badger.

Greatness can sense other greatness. While Tee has a ways to go to achieve greatness, he is on the right track. Guys know who they want to be playing with on the field and if Tee can see what Badger can bring to the table then it's game on.

Tee's attitude along with Lynch, Nix, and Te'o will rub off on the locker room and I truly believe will have a positive impact. I haven't seen this type of "swagger" in a long time especially on the defensive side of the ball.

After seeing Brian Smith's tweets a few weeks ago, I can tell the attitude of a lot of the players were most likely the same, pretty much defeated from the start. This seems different.

6-Tee Shepherd, Notre Dame, CB: Even though QB Gunner Kiel is the ND newcomer who has grabbed most of the headlines, my hunch is the 6-1, 186-pound Shepherd will make more of an impact for the Irish in 2012. He is a terrific athlete on a secondary that not only has to replace both corners but was sorely lacking in the play-making department. Shepard made 10 career INTs in high school despite sitting out his senior year due to transfer rules.

If he's only here for 3 years I'll be happy.

Means he'll be good enough to go pro, and go high too.

I just hope he is good enough to see the field right away. His tweets make me question if he wouldn't transfer to a better opportunity if he can't cut it here.

I find it hard to believe that he wont play early. Our secondary is decimated. If he doesnt play early, it will be because of either injury or act of god.

I don't see that happening either. I also didn't see a lot of good things going bad the last few years! I am actually pretty stoked to watch how he handles himself after he gets burnt by a guy like Rob Woods or Kenny Stills once.

Who says he will at all?

Honestly though, if or when it happens I think he has the attitude to want to win the next play rather than hang his head in defeat the rest of the game.

I agree with military...this kid as incredible as he is athleticly he seems to be an even better competitor and person. This kid is gonna be special here. I can see him making a lot of opposing WRs and QBs loom stupid (I think he will begin these humiliations early in his career too)

RT @NDHardin: Tee Shepard is no longer enrolled at #NotreDame and has returned home to his family in Fresno, Calif.

well he just sacrificed a year of football. Good luck to him at Houston or USC or whatever. Unbelievable

Edit: my anger assumes he didn't do this because of family illness or similar reasons

I'm really trying to contain my anger and frustration right now. If this is about his grandmother and him wanting to come back in the Fall then I'm okay with that. If this is about him leaving Notre Dame forever I will be beyond upset

Per #NotreDame ~ “Tee is a special person and it’s unfortunate it didn’t work out here," Brian Kelly said in the release. (1/2)

It's official. Quote from BK.
“Tee is a special person and it’s unfortunate it didn’t work out here,” head coach Brian Kelly said. “Everyone at Notre Dame wishes him all the best in the future.”

Devastating news. We seem to be cursed at corner. Just cannot get guys to stick with us at that position.
