I have seen Chris play once in person and also been able to catch his highlights on the local tv. From what I saw, he lined up mostly outside, but was able to out jump many people on deep balls, outrun people on bubble screens, as well as make considerable gains on reverses, sweeps, and slot catches. The game I was at, he had 3 or 4 TDs an interception and 3 or 4 passes defended. That being said, the competion in Division 2A Charleston area is not strong, but CHris was by far the best player in the dvision this year.

Thanks and welcome!

insightful first post. If he can put on some more weight (which I do not think will be a problem at all) he should be a solid receiver at the college level.

Think you can come here, post a good post and think your **** don't stink?

Thanks for that and welcome! I love when I hear someone say the competition isn't that great but he dominated above and beyond like a Div 1 athlete should.

Enjoy your stay at IE!

I really can't grasp how a 6'2" receiver with good hands and 4.35 speed ends up a 3star. There are gonna be a lot of people wondering where this kid came from. We'll just sit back and say, "we told you so".

I agree with you. I think alot of schools are going to be upset they missed out on him.

We have been missing this kind of mentality for a long time. This kid really has his head on straight. I will be rooting hard for him. I hope he plays early.

So is he the fastest player on the team now? Thoughts?

haha... uhm... that's a sensitive subject...

don't delete me, bro...

The attitudes of all the younger players are incredible. BK is recruiting hungry and determined kids. It's going to be a fun run the next 4-5 years.

Exactly!!! Lol... On a serious note.. I have never seen him this serious and focused. Chris is working extremely hard to arrive in tip top shape. Enjoy your evening guys! I needed that laugh

Quote from Mr. Brown on my page. Good to hear that he is working that hard as mentioned above in this thread, but when a parent says that it really says alot the kid and the work he is putting in.

You know how everyone says he's too slight, needs to eat...well, Randy Moss was skinny, ...this kid's athleticism reminds me alot of Randy...I think by Randy's sophmore year folks stopped saying he was too skinny...just kinda stood there with their mouths hangin' open...Good for Chris that he's workin it...but I still say the best thing he can do is study film and playbook like a demon...

C'mon mane .. get it together mane.

p.s.

A kids talk on social networks in no way reflects who he is as a person, sometimes. Just saying.

Went back and looked at his tape. The thing that really stood out to me is that Chris is definitely used to going up for balls. His qb had a terrible arm and just hucked balls up for chris to come down with. It will be cool to see what he can do when he is getting balls that hit him in stride.

6'3 184 right now

Again, and I watched the tape again as well, HOW WAS THIS KID NOT A HIGHLY RATED RECRUIT?!?! That size, that speed, am I missing something? What a steal by Kelly. Can't wait to get him on campus and see what he can do.

Just want to stress how incredibly sick a triple jump of 51-2.25 is in high school.... thats sick. Most people arent really familiar with track performances a whole lot- its crazy good. Based solely on that I know he is a great athlete. But he also has these track performance: 200m 21.90 High Jump 6'4 (not that great but it is a very technical event (aka lots of form)). He is really a top notch athlete. His agility really looks great too. Very excited about him for the next 4 years.
My favorite recuit.
