At 4.39 in the 40, would he be the quickest player on the team from day 1 (in the 40)? He is absolutely electric.

Not getting my hopes up. If he was an ND lock right now, why would he still wait until the 21st?

I've heard rumors that your rumors are false. This means that there is information even if the only information out there is regarding your rumors. Unless of course my rumors are false because that would mean that there is no information... which is actually some pretty important information in and of itself.

The press conference has been scheduled for some time now.

I'm not saying he's an ND lock or anything... just saying that even if he has made his choice we shouldn't expect to hear anything concrete before that date.

Davonte and his father have pretty much stuck to their plans throughout this whole process.

I realize that, but how difficult can it be to change the date of the presser. My point is that with time, people change their minds (i.e. Tee's cousin, Darby etc.). If I were Luke Neal, I would suggest he declare once he figured out where he wants to go.

I'm not saying Neal won't be Irish. I'm just saying I doubt "nfldraftupdate" or whoever runs it knows that information already.

The tweet came from the AZ republic writer who said it appeared to be a ND v ark battle. A reply tweet from Richard Barkman who supposedly has strong ties to ND, said the whole source close to Neal etc part about coming to ND -- per rivals site

Figure out who Barkman is and we may have a source.

My apologies for asking the question a few posts ago. Didnt realize there was a discussion that had gotten off topic and deleted (and actually I was asking if he'd be the quickest, not the fastest). Safe to say, he's fast (and quick). nuff said.

ESPN is pissed because they thought Neal was an Ohio State lock so they moved him up to a 5* athlete and into the top 10.

There's no way ND could land a recruit like that. Is it to late for them to change their "final" rankings?

In theory, no, assuming final is FINAL not "final;" but they can just finalize the 2012 recruiting class rankings, thus removing any upward movement ND would get from signing Neal. Something like "with only one member of the ESPN150 left to sign, there won't be any major movement in the class rankings, so here it is, your final 2012 recruiting class rankings."
