Is this SOP for transfers? Maybe they all toss the hardship paperwork in just to see if they can somehow play ASAP. It's worth a shot even with the odds against you.

Probably so. I mean, there's nothing to lose by applying. If it is granted, awesome. If it isn't, then it's what was expected anyway.

Thank you Tebow. We need this kid on the field so bad next year. Him and Cierre back there.

The only way I could see him getting a waiver is if he had something incriminating Kiffin, so the NCAA could finally torch the program. They could then send in Achilles' great-great-great.....grandson to finish the job that his ancestor started when Paris illegally recruited Helen.

He's really good, can't wait to see him in 2012 or 2013 with Wood and Atkinson and Co.

That's funny! I was actually thinking the same thing. Otherwise he most likely wont get the waiver. Actually even if he has something on Kitten he still probably wont get the waiver.

Disagree. Would rather him preserve a year of eligibility and get healthy. Let next year be the Cierre and Riddick show. Riddick is arguably better than Cierre, just not really given the opportunity to shine to this point.

Carlisle is the back of the future. Total gamebreaker.

Did the atkinsons and amir know each other before they all came to ND? If not they must've really hit it off.

Dang, I noticed in his track meet too...but GA3 is looking BIG these days.

I wonder if he's grown a half inch or more. Seems taller.

I would say yeah they did. They are both from California and only live about an hour and a half from each other. So through out the recruiting process I am sure they have ran into each other. Also, having the Cali connection I am sure they just hit it off that much quicker.

Yeah, when Amir transferred I read (I believe in the South Bend Trib) that he and the Atkinsons were good friends before ND. Not sure how exactly how they knew each other though.

yes...nfl career doesn't mean wealth, especially considering the era their dad played.

He is also the Raiders radio broadcaster and is still very well known in the organization. So I would assume he has connections throughout the NFL.

Didn't Carlisle's Dad work in the NFL before getting the job at Purdue? Seems like these kids have a lot in common.

Yes

There's no grounds for a hardship waiver. He father, Duane Carlisle changed jobs. He was a strength and conditioning coach for the 49ers when Amir chose USC. His new job is Director of Sports Performance for Purdue. The family has moved to Indiana and they (Amir and family) wanted to be nearby. That's a choice. A 6 figure income is NOT a hardship.
