Dont you guys think we can beat Michigan tho? we shouldve last year I fancy our chances, USC/Oklahoma are very tough but i think a half full view is 9-3 for this season.(the season does lay in the hands of the QB, which makes it nearly impossible to correctly call however.

no matter who the qb is what i worry about most is whoever it is wont have mike floyd to throw to no one on campus or on the way is anywhere near floyd, could you imagine rees without floyd all this year? talk about a bigger disaster than it was. we will NEED a qb that can make things happen in 2013, hope golson is the guy, gonna need to create when all wr are covered

This is only my opinion, but I think it will be either Golson or Kiel. I would be shocked if either Hendrix or Rees end up the guy. Weirder things have happened though.

I don't think Kiel is even on campus. I think this whole thing has been a hoax. I have yet to see one picture of the kid!!!!!!!

I am very high on Gunner - much higher now than I even was at the beginning of the cycle in terms of his tools and fit. That being said, I will be extremely angry and disappointed if he is "the guy" this year. I sincerely hope he redshirts and is ready to compete to start in 2013 (when he will have Davaris, Deontay, Brown, Russell, Ferguson, and Farley to throw to, as well as GAIII, Amir, Mahone, and hopefully both Cams, plus whoever we bring in this cycle to help him - all great weapons that will help a first year QB).

I doubt Kelly would give him the keys of the kingdom like that. If he does start next year, it will be because he is truly the best QB out there. The other guys have a huge advantage over him because they all have been in the system for at least 1 year. He has great tools to become a dominant QB in college and beyond, but I would be shocked if he were to become ND starting QB as a true freshman. You have to be very special to grasp all the information that offense contains and operate it at a high level. We shall see. Spring will be interesting.

i wouldn't say i'd be shocked if hendrix got the nod...game experience had to help and he has some very impressive tools for the spread, time will tell.

don't take this the wrong way, but gunner waiting so long to be irish may have hurt us in the end in terms of using that momentum to finish signing day. had he committed earlier we could have used that to real in a stud or two using that as leverage. again, not blaming the kid for making his own decision just wish we could have benefitted more from gaining his sig with another commit or two down the stetch.

eitherway super psyched he's irish!!!

Agreed and i'm willing to go out on a limb and say IMO i think Gunner has more upside then Jimmy did coming in.... Jimmy seemed to plateau during is college career, while i can see Gunner consistently stepping his game up.

For sure. Jimmy's major downfall was his slow moving feet. GK has everything you're looking for in a qb.

I really don't think you need to be a burner or have mobile legs. What I think you do need is the ability to feel the pressure and get away from it. Kinda like Eli Manning. Dude will never be mistaken for a track and field star but he is deceptively good at getting away from pressure.

Wow. I take back saying that BK should have held back on his comment about Tay B. Miles takes the cake.

Kelly's Reaction could have went...
1.looked beaten and depressed (weak)
2.Glossed it over and been politically correct (dishonest)
3.Blown up and but the a$$ in class like Les (which is a girls name btw)

or responded the way he did honestly upset and ready to kick some a$$. I love Kelly!

basically he would rather play against a guy like that 4 times than with him for four years. (made this comment when discussing the LOI that didn't come in-Greenberry)

he looks so big in ur avy Kue but on film a lil skinny.

If Kiel is even close to grasping it as much as Golson n Hendrix, he should start. I wish there were only 3 qbs, giving 4 a lot of reps and playing in spring game didnt seem to better any of them last year.

Id pick 2 pretty quick to have majority of snaps work in 3rd, Rees gets what ever may be left, since the O he would run will be diff from other 3. I also wouldnt have a running clock in 2nd half of spring game, young guys need all the live action they can get.

He's not very skinny a solid 220lbs. I was watching his film on UND.com yesterday. And he was trucksticking and stiff arming kids on his runs, granted those are high school defenders. But, his body is like a perfect mirror image of Dayne.

At first I thought "People may be taking this out of context like they do with Kelly all the time so I don't really care." But after seeing that video, Les Miles is a punk.
