Tyrann Mathieu

Watching Tyrann play is simply unbelievable. In my eyes, this kid is the best overall football player in college football. He has tremendous instincts for a safety and can make any play on a football field. Guy can hit, return punts, get a sack for a loss, force a fumble, and get a pick six all in the same game. The young man is simply unstoppable. He changes every play, offenses are afraid of him, is there anything he cant do? Probably not. The Honey Badger has my Heisman vote.

the next pacman jones...on and off the field if he doesn't clean up his act...great player and the most exciting in the country, but he needs to grow up fast.

Cliff Harris is the next Pacman Jones. Don't take that away from him!

Looks like Rivals and LSU were the only ones to get it right.

Looking at his offer list, it reminds me of John Turner. Hopefully Turner turns into out Mathieu.

And here's why LSU is so scary good--He's only the second best DB on his own team, to Morris Claiborne, at least as far as being an NFL prospect goes.

The reason he wasn't heavily recruited is because he's probably closer to 5'7" than 5'10". Most places have him listed at 5'8", that might be being generous. That is the reason he wasn't recruited heavily though.

Guy is a phenomenal player, but it is because of Claiborne and the other DB's that makes him so versatile. They basically shut down the opposition which gives him chances to make plays. No doubt he can play, but I do not think he is the best overall football player. That would be Andrew Luck. If I were to vote for the Heisman though, it would have to be RGIII, then Mathieu.

Im with the OP. Honey Badger for heisman. In a year with no clear cut favorite, I gotta go with the guy who has made numerous game changing plays for the best team in the country.

Punt returns, forced fumbles, interceptions.... Honey badger just don't give a fck

I love Tyrann aka the HoneyBadger aka Tyrann, the Creator.

Easily my favorite player in NCAA, especially his old school flat top haircut. And he definitely wont be as good without Claiborne next year, unfortunately, on being able to fly to the ball. Might have to play some more coverage.

There is nobody in college football that can make the plays that he can though... Claiborne the other DB on LSU is the second best defense of player in the country.. Tyrann makes big plays...if coach miles asked him to play receiver for a game he would do it and be successful..You cant beat him, you can try to stop and contain him but there is no way he will go in a game and not create a difference on any side of the ball. Hes just too good. Yes, i would vote for him for Heisman...but he wont because there going to pick RG3.. He is a great player no question about it, led his team.. but Mathieu is simply unbelievable.. thanks for the replies everyone

Mathieu studying Bama's mothers

I am all for trash talking but i lose a bit of respect for him if he is talking about family members and especially if he is looking up players mothers names

Hmm, reminds me of a guy.

Miles has a press conference starting in 5 minutes that was moved up from 630 tonight, probably trying to get out in front of it.

Report: Les Miles to talk about ''the future of Tyrann Mathieu" today

WWL.com Reporting

LSU has moved up a Les Miles press conference originally scheduled for this afternoon to noon today.

WWL's Deke Bellavia has learned that one of the topics of the press conference will be "the future of Tyrann Mathieu."

WWL Radio will bring you the latest on what Les Miles has to say about the topic as soon as it happens.

The ''Honey Badger'' defensive back was suspended last year for one game for reportedly using synthetic marijuana. LSU never confirmed the specific reason for last year's suspension.

Collin Cowterd said just couple of mins ago...there was going to be a BIG story to hit NCAAF
