He retweets Notre Dame and Michigan fans routinely. Doesn't mean anything.

Yuri knows the numbers crunch per TJ. Also he is talking to some committed in the 2012 class.

Thus my comment about this guy being an actual acquaintance of Yuri's and not a ND fan. Had it been some random fan on Twitter, I wouldn't have bothered posting it here.

Yuri was retweeting it because of the sentiment, not because he knew the person. You don't have to have Notre Dame stuff on your twitter to be a Notre Dame fan.

JC Shurburtt was on Bill King's radio show this morning and said that as of right now he would say both Wright and Shumate are likely ND. Said it would be a surprise if Shumate would announce for anyone other then ND.

You have no clue unless you were the one that tweeted it. You continue to post your opinions as fact on this board and it's getting old. Stop correcting people with your opinion. State your opinion and leave it at that.

What? I wasn't making any personal statement about the kid who tweeted it, only that you don't need Notre Dame stuff on your twitter in order to be a Notre Dame fan. That was something Whiskeyjack was inferring.

Yuri has commonly re-tweeted ND and Michigan fans who talk about him committing to their school. It's not some rare occurrence that needs looking into.

Man, it is getting testy around these parts. Feels like July when everyone is ready for season to start.

I am a huge fan of Bill King. He has his connections and he tells what he knows. Good source of info.

Just to be clear, you wrote as if you knew why Yuri wrote something:

"Yuri was retweeting it because of the sentiment, not because he knew the person. . . ."

Unless you actually know why Yuri did that (maybe Yuri told you?), you were positing your opinion as a fact.

Sounds like you didn't mean to. No big deal. Either way, here's how you do it:

"Yuri was probably retweeting it because of the sentiment, not because he knew the person. . . ."

It will only get worse leading to February. Then we'll get our commits and people will be happy. There will be a short golden age of discussing practices and 2013 recruits. Then the board will separate into three different sides. The optimists, the pessimists, and the conservatives, who do not overreact either way. The optimist and the pessimists will be the first to go crazy waiting for the season to begin because their arguing will weaken their resolve. The conservatives will be the last of the mortal posters to go, and they will descend into madness roughly three weeks before the season. Then, all that will be are the mighty moderators who will watch the boards until the cycle begins fresh once again.... (Que Lord of the Rings intro music)

He re-tweets the same stuff from fans all the time. No, I don't know the kid who tweeted at him, but it's more than a safe assumption that it was just Yuri re-tweeting the same sentiments he always does and not him personally re-tweeting the kid because he knows him and wants to give away where he's going to school.

Take his advice. Be like a politician or a coach and cover your *** with "maybe"s and "probably"s.

Anyways, I'd very much like to think we could land at least 2 more DBs out of: Shumate, Yuri, Poole, and Shaq.

Shumate is a "Shu" in. ;) I'd give us a 85+% chance with Yuri, 25% with Poole, and a 5% chance with Shaq.

I would say Yuri just wants to make sure before he makes his final decision.

Honestly BB, I'd be "tickled pink" if we landed "just" Yuri and Elijah.... a shot at either Poole or Shaq would be over the top..

Free: Wright Will Wait

The Wolverines have been a school Wright has had his eye on for a long time.

“They’ve been one of my favorite schools since I was a little kid and I just always loved them,” he said.

"As for Notre Dame, the Irish continue to express their interest.

“They really want me really bad,” he said.

Wright’s high school teammate, Elijah Shumate, is announcing his decision on Saturday and many believe he will select the Irish. Whatever school he picks, Shumate will be trying to convince Wright to follow.

“He wants me to go with him, but we’ll see what happens,” Wright said of Shumate."

Doesn't sound bad either. This is going to be a crazy numbers game.

If we were Alabama, I can already think of a half dozen kids who would have "medical hardship."

True. I just don't like U of M being in the discussion with us. I ****ing hate those bastards

I don't know if anyone remembers but he did an interview in season after one of his games and showed almost no emotion when the reporter brought up ND, but Yuri's face lit up when he was asked about Michigan. This was waaay before his visit to South Bend but it has been hard for me to forget how fast his mood changed.

It doesn't help that they the had a fluke season and record wise was better then the team actually is.
