so all the nonsense from tigerdroppings must be false because if he had called Les on December 23rd, he would have just announced yesterday (the 24th).. doesn't make sense he'd put it off if he had his mind made up.. this must be killing this kid right now trying to make this decision since he's obviously still going back and forth on it.. best of luck to him, and merry christmas/happy holidays to all.. take care fellas, be well

My New Years wish>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mr. Kiel (Notre Dame Verbal)

And to get the blue hairs in the lux boxes and let us sound like like a DIVISON 1 Powerhouse stadium. Is that asking a lot?

reading this:

"The hot topic of discussion amongst Tiger fans that follow recruiting is the recruitment of top-rated quarterback Gunner Kiel from Indiana. Kiel is expected to make his announcement before Christmas. Early on, Kiel had committed to Indiana, and then he opened up his recruitment and began to focus on Notre Dame, Vanderbilt and LSU. As is usually the case with the nation's top prospects, there have been a lot of rumors about where Kiel might end up. A month ago, I felt like he was leaning toward Notre Dame, then Kiel had a very good visit to LSU and returned for a second visit. Although several sources were reporting that it was down to Notre Dame and Vanderbilt for Kiel's services last week, this week it's looking more in LSU's favor. Tuesday night, Kiel accepted the Indianapolis Star's Mr. Football trophy at the Columbus North-Columbus East basketball game, and at that time he said he was undecided and that his decision would be a very hard. The Columbus East student section was heard chanting “LSU” as Kiel accepted the trophy. Kiel's commitment would certainly be a great Christmas present for Coach Les Miles and Tiger fans."

then reading this from Michael Dixon's article on Bleacher Report (excerpt):

"Notre Dame originally recruited Fuller to play defensive back, but they have since changed their tone and are now pursuing him as a quarterback. And that's why he's a better fit for Brian Kelly's system."

It's looking less in our favor and I don't like it.

You just inspired me to trim the fat off this thread. Don't get offended if I deleted your post.... Pay no mind to these adults with no lives, and do what is best for you and your family...

Laudable in intent, but flawed in execution. Adults, with or without "lives" expressing opinions on a public forum is an exercise in natural selection. Let nature be your guide.

Bleacher Report is rarely accurate. Although entertaining.

That is true. They are more of an op/ed.

Here's another reference from Stephen Spiewak from maxpreps.com talking about recruiting Devin Fuller as a QB:

"Fuller, one of the nation's premier athletes, can play a number of positions at the next level. Until recently, Notre Dame was not in the running for Fuller because Brian Kelly and staff were recruiting him as a defensive back."

I think since we started recruiting Fuller, we were out with Kiel. I have already stated I prefer Fuller to Kiel. Lets see how this plays out and hopefully both of these kids will be successful at the next level.

Im not saying i would prefer fuller over kiel.. in BKs system, he likes to pass first, but enjoys having the running capabilities, but its looking more n more that we may be somewhat out with kiel. I know we havent had any solid info on what he may or may not do, but since we have been focusing on fuller a bit harder..that raises an eyebrow..Kiel knows ND, hes been around it his whole life..i know its a tough choice, but him knowing everything about ND, and still not pulling the trigger makes me wonder if hes looking for a reason to note commit..idk thats just my opinion.. I hope im wrong!! GO ND!

I'm sure he wants another pounding by the Fighting Irish of Cathedral. Columbus East lost 62-7 in the Semi-State game.

Fuller rated pretty high.I think he is the 34th best player in the nation according to Rivals.

Again???? Sooo you were a usc fan before? :cannibal:

LMAO You read that horribly wrong. I meant he was offering money again for me to be a USC fan. Are you kidding me? I ****ing hate the Trojans...lol Love those song girls though.

This is the kinda **** that requires me to make a public press announcement that I was at no point in time a Trojan fan...lol

Merry Christmas y'all!

The only way I can see Gunner announcing today is if he does it right after dinner in front of his family.
