De'Anthony Thomas is on a completely different level. They may have similar straight-line speed, but Thomas' ability to cut and make plays in the open field is ridiculous.

Yea GAIII doesn't have the shake that Deanthony does. But a 100m race would be a tight one

Last night I watched De'Anthony Thomas run one back and couldn't believe how fast he was. Question

Who's faster? Darby or Thomas? Will Darby bring Thomas like speed to ND's return game?

Easily Thomas.

Darby does not look like a high 4.3 guy on tape to me.

I might be being a homer here. But I don't think thomas is "easily" faster than Darby.

Darby has world class speed. I don't think there are many humans out there easily faster than him

Not saying I agree or disagree but to say easily is just wrong. Darby represented USA in some international meet. Obviously though speed on the track doesn't automatically translate to the football field

Black Mamba was fast with quick feet and moves, I have no idea if Darby can do all of that, if he could why wouldn't ND consider him on offense?

Regardless, his speed is much needed in this secondary.

There is track speed and then there is Football speed...IMO Darby has the track speed and Thomas has the football speed. Either way they are both burners- and next year we will find out if Darby has that football speed.

Half of Darby's films are him playing on crappy looking fields in bad conditions. He might not be quite as fast as Thomas but he's definitely not far behind at all.

I bet he'd look real fast if Kelly gets his way and ND changes to artificial grass.

I think this is a must.. we've had higher grass in the past to slow down our opponents because we lacked speed.. now that we're acquiring speed, we're spiting ourselves by keeping the grass high.. cut the grass super short or put in the artificial turf so we can put this speed to use 6 times a year

I'd say good for him, but this is going to be a one sided game. If I were him I would have OV at the LSU-Bama game.

He is pretty close with Cyrus Jones who is also on an OV there this weekend. Just a free trip I you ask me.

getting that sick feeling that is late-cycle recruiting.

I'm not worried because Auburn will get destroyed and ND is a more highly ranked team than Auburn. Let him enjoy the visit and spend time with Cyrus but I am not worried at all about this visit.

You never like OVs because anything can happen. With that being said, I'm not worried at all until there are some post visit comments.

No update yet. It's an old post from when they found out he was visiting Auburn this past weekend.
