Recruiting: Guys who will make an instant impact: ESPN

Ronald Darby, ATH, Notre Dame commit
Darby could fill a need both at cornerback and safety, so his position versatility makes him very valuable. Add in the fact that the Irish have some upperclassmen departing from the secondary, and Darby, one of the nation's fastest prospects, could step in right away at safety, corner or nickel back because of that versatility.

Ronald Darby, Ricardo Louis among players who could make instant impact - ESPN

Just stick him on the field. You can't coach speed. I want him covering any speedster or quicker than fast receiver the other team has.

I'll worry around the 2nd of February where he ends up. Got a ways to go before the end of this cycle.

The good news? He always said he was going to take his OVs so "meh" is an appropriate reaction for now.

The bad news? It's. Clemson.

Darby loves ND. He has been saying he will visit other places all along.

Breathe fellas. Breathe.

crappy thing is that he's visiting on a non-game day, which shows he may be a lil more interesed in them than the others.

Geez, tampon day.

I wouldn't be too worried about Darby and Clemson. Hopefully we snag another recruit from the UA Game. That thing worries me a little bit.

II says Clemson vist is not this weekend, but he is setting one up for January

Yes, sorry if I misled, it was in the article linked but I guess that's premium. Not a definite date yet but does want to visit there in January.

Yup, link was premium. Also says he may take a couple more visits but not certain yet. USC and Cal

Isn't it funny how USC tries to get in the ear of every single one of our recruits? It's quite smart.....

Lack of sleep + red bull + recruiting + annoying posts = bad combination.

To be fair, I could've totally just let his post go... there was no reason for me to respond... just so sick of people not reading threads and asking the questions that have already been answered and this was the straw that broke the camel's back. Well, actually the 'straw' was him saying I had a "bad reaction" when my reaction was very neutral and my bad reaction was toward's him.

"Anyone have a video of Stanley's commitment?"
"When is Gunner deciding?"
etc. etc. etc.

I hear ya man. I laughed out loud when I read both those posts.

Ed O. master negative recruiter it wouldn't hurt them if they don't land 1 of our recruits most important thing is we don't either.

I'm glad ND doesn't negatively recruit, but would it kill us to counterpoint some of the Trogans' blatant lies every once in a while?

Hell, just use my ROI chart, highlight ND vs. USC, and hand it to them. Providing indisputable facts can't be considered negative recruiting, can it?
